With the whole COVID 19 thing going on and nothing we are handling being normal (light mail/flats & heavy on packages) has everything with RRECS come to a screaming halt?
Confirmed! It's deader than a doornail for the present. I can't even access training software. Yippee.Being that David Heather and I are almost one and the same, I have ALL of the inside information on RRECS and what things are currently "going on" with it. I also know exactly when and where routes are currently being mapped and much of the other "craved for" information sought out by all rural carriers nation wide. Being that I like you all here it is.
Nothing is happening, nothing is being mapped, and nothing is going on. This is the end of the NRLCA RRECS report.
As soon as I have more info I'll put it on our new multi media sites. Stay safe, drink plenty of fluids, and wash your hands.
One month to go for the 5th year anniversary of the mandated implementation date!
Maybe Dave can explain why they're so lame.... he said he's almost one in the same as NRLCA.... NRLCA is basically one in the same as USPS mngt, imo.... ☹Our union seems to cave to management far too often for my preference. Although we're small in comparison to the APWU, our areas of delivery are those for the most part city carriers couldn't even attempt to service. So we're unique in that regard. Why does our union continue to squeeze us more toward city rules? Maybe because its the easiest path, and maybe because it's been so long since any of them carried rural they are totally detached from us? Or maybe because they're paid and likely get increases no matter what happens? Choose one, all, or add your own reasons. Seems they just don't want to FIGHT for our rights to do an excellent job AND get paid reasonably for doing it.
If you read my post from awhile ago Dismount Digitization.Sting, where are you inputting data? Into what, since there is no mapping occurring? Are you one of the facilitators that will be doing the mapping?
And what does the union say? I know you said down thread that you "can't get no info from the union", but since everyone else is on hold, dontcha think maybe you should call your DR or National? I mean, unless you really wanna help shine your PM's star...It is still a go. I have been working the last three months inputting data for multiple offices to get it setup for mapping. We seem to be ahead of everyone right now. Our Post Master wants it done, and wants us to be the shinning example for having it done first out of our district.
I agree, what a trainrrec...stingrayiii
I have "heard of" to what you are referring when you say "adjust routes accordingly" and I have talked with several P.M.s besides my own and other rural supervisors and I just don't see a way to really do this. I mean think of the scheme changes every couple of months. Parcels, car ads, addressed advo, money pages with addresses or cards with addresses, etc. What a nightmare !!! I mean, at least in my office and I see it referenced here in other offices, the clerks can't even through the parcels right when there are NO changes and we / they have a PASS machine. Plus all the other existing requirements for adjusting routes like ride the route / route inspection, case labels, handing off pink cards with stickers, etc. Then, there is the whole AMS thing . I know you are just the messenger and/or relaying info to which you are acquiring but think about it................what a trainrrec. (sic)
DB, your my favorite person to read on here. lol. Makes my day reading this forum and your thoughts.Shining star..... they actually passed those out for some silliness in our office.... just a little shiny star pin.... complete nonsense.... ??
You and me both...ill race ya!?Hold it off for a bit longer, and I'll hit the exit door before the RRECS Beast descends upon and kills the rural craft.... ???☠
