Finally, we don’t want any rural craft employee to be placed in a situation that jeopardizes his or her health and welfare. Do not hesitate to fill out and present a PS Form 1767, (Report of Hazard, Unsafe Condition or Practice), if needed.

Thank you for your continued commitment to your customers, the Postal Service, and the NRLCA. I will provide another update as soon as there is news to share.

Stay safe!

lol. Are you working more than 12 hours in a day? Yeah you’re good then.

I’m seriously concidering going to the dark side.

UPS. If I’m going to be a parcel delivery person, why not ups???
Just deliver packages, no worries about mail and box holders....
I’d get a vehicle, uniforms, and very small pay cut.
But the pay cut really wouldn’t be a pay cut, I hear, ups pays overtime past 8 hours a day....

I truly love this job, but if I’m going to be a package delivery person, mail is just a headache anymore....

I’m seriously considering it..... ?

Same here. I’ve done after dark Christmas time delivery’s too many times. But today, cOvid Christmas, the only thing different is daylight hours. I can’t imagine what things would be like right now, it we were in real Christmas time. We’d all be out way past dark. I think, this is our “normal” even when cOvid lets up (even if a bit).....
we’re gonnna really be hurting come real Christmas time if things don’t let up sooon. My thoughts are, “if I’m gonnna be a package delivery person, why let mail get in my way of all these packages???”
UPS is loooking better and better every minute......
Each and everyone of us here, ups would take in in a heart beat. We know how to deliver, we know what’s needed to be done.... and we’d have “no mail to worry about. Just deliver packages”........
I’m concidering it.....

They're expanding their ground service to include Saturdays. UPS driver told me they're hiring.

I've been seeing a ride along inside the UPS truck in my area, (imagine that) package help in the summertime for them!
Every ups truck in our area has a package runner. They are wearing yellow vests that say seasonal employee and start @ $21/hr. All seem to be college kids. Too bad po doesn't think of stuff like this! Oh wait, back in the day , while in college, I was a city carrier substitute. Po shoots themselves in the foot again by eliminating that position. Ps also got called in @ Xmas time

I don't see why you refer to UPS as the dark side.

I played UPS driver during the UPS strike of 97. My route got 5 wire baskets every Monday and 3 the rest of the week. Even now with the double Christmas package volume we are getting in my office, that route only gets 1 wire basket and a tub (pumpkin/1046) But then again, they moved the 50 businesses at beginning of route to another. So it might still get 3 if you combine those 2 routes
