Is it on it's way? RRECS

Thanks.. I’m in the northeast and we haven’t even been mapped yet.. I feel we are far from the RRECS being implemented here. Also, is what your saying is that whenever an office is “certified”, then that said office begins getting counted under the RRECS? How can 1 office, 2 offices, 30 offices begin the RRECS while others sit and wait?? My understanding is that we all have to begin the implementation as a whole, not in part and in drips and drabs..
From what I was told, once it is certified the counting of everything goes into effect. Once submitted the system takes over.
Which I fear...
The system is only as good as the user.
There will have to be some type of team put together to get this done in my opinion. As it is complicated and most people just don't want to learn or deal with it. I think we won't see it running for at least another 2yrs if that. It is just to complicated.
 
Northeast here also......we haven't got the new scanners let alone been mapped. Rrecs seems a long way off. Total CRICKETS here with regards to rrecs. Adr expresses ignorance as well.
So city has the new scanners, but us rurals still have the older ones. Go figure.
I really think that this study will affect the city side more in the long run. As it is collecting info on them also, they just don't know it yet. lol.
 
So, did you only work on getting certified for the three months, or did you also run your route at times? It sounds like it took almost 60 days x 2 people x 8 hours per day = 960 hours/76 routes = 12.6 hours per route. In addition, say 5 hours for route inspection would mean 17.6 hours per route.


I know we have not been inputting our boxholder information. Not scanning for end-of-day activities. Not scanning our loading time. So there are a bunch of unaccounted activities that have not been inputted during the past year. This is why I believe we will not be compensated for anything that has been prior to some "transition date."
What do you do when there are detours?
 
Was in conference call today, they were talking about RRECS, it is ready to roll as soon as your office has been certified to do so. But first office has to have Red Books and line of travels matching up perfectly to pass being certified.
Also pay will be adjusted yearly after RRECS is active, so that is good to know.
The hard part is getting management to get Red Books and LOTS to match, as there is a certain way it has to be done, and is a lot of work.
Our office is ready to be certified, but who knows when we will get certified?

Scanner is recording everything, even mapping for the most part.

The rest is stuff we already know.
Can they have a mini count without being certified?

Clearly this gotta be DOA. Over 5 year "wait till we figure out how to best manipulate" or "wait till Amazon can afford a fleet with drones." Why and how does this continue? Union is into canabilistic rape. This is boutique of long stem roses just no tops and plenty of pricks. Just a bunch of human beings getting crushed. Indivisible maybe but I'll keep flapping my jaws till the end. Good or bad it all shall pass.

In general, if the carrier runs the route like they’re supposed to,,, it only takes an hour or so to plot the map.
It has some algorithms that lay down the first map, like I tell new carriers, if you blow a stop sign once, it won’t catch it, but everyday? Yes! It will show on the map.
Reality of the mapping is it almost forces carriers to be doing the job “like you’re supposed to “...... ie package delivery to houses that are close to street should be walked up , the LOT should be followed, detours over 30 days should be wrote up and changed in the LOT....
I haven’t seen the LOT system and understood that it comes next and not sure if there has been anything in this district... the actual edit book does need to be updated but once again, that was always a part of our job.

There is a on going detour for our one route..its been over a year with no end in sight..
 
the Post Office has a plan that is something over 7 years old that has been gathering data with obsolete equipment that is going to improve things for...who?
And how many examples have we seen that they can't figure it out and make it work.... lol.... mapping.... that's went really smooth, eh??? ? ?‍♂️?
 
I have Zero faith in any computer program that is created and endorsed by the Machine.

The latest fail for their programs was shown to me last week by 204b in DOIS involving City carrier clock ring adjustments. Which put my office on the Hit list of a failure on the conference call.

A city carrier clocked in on the wrong route so an adjustment was needed. They pulled up the DOIS program to show me why a failure occurred.

At the top of the page was an adjustment selection. with other options for other things. In the middle of the page was another adjustment choice worded the same with many other options they use. They clicked the Header option.

Office was spanked for a failure because the Header option clicked worded the same way as middle of page does nothing.

204B also mentioned they now print out copies which show response time to duties they must perform by X time . It has shown POOM they are doing their job in a timely manner when the POOM throws the hammer down on our office.

Lol.... I also was listening to some squawk box telecon where they were discussing entering some sort of training in to their whizbang computer system... one geek said they entered it twice, but it still showed them as delinquent.... they are so clueless, and computer illiterate, and their software is full of glitches.... and this is what we're gonna have to put our faith in for our pay???? Js.... how did the ~4205 route test for this nonsense work out??? Oh yeah, we never heard.... what a disaster.... this $#!+ ain't NEVER gonna work... ??‍♂️??
