Does one have to wait a year?...

Hello,, word in our office is that once you accept a new route, you have to wait a year before you can bid on a different route.. I'm having trouble finding clarification. Is this true, or??

The answer is NO, if it is your office. You can bid as soon as something comes open if you want it. Been there, done that.

The only time one year is mentioned in our contract is concerning new employees waiting one year to bid on a route. Everyone else has no wsit time.
For all rural carriers, anytime something doesn't sound right that management is telling you, ask for the contractual proof that what they are saying is true.
