To Bop, or not to Bop, that is the question.

Don't remember this video.

Now the video that plays in my head has Cyndi as a Postal employee twirling through an office with a big bopper (looks like a converted peppermill) as she uses it to bop letters, packages and eventually people (PM?) and then moving through the lobby as she hand cancels the wrists of excited patrons. Eventually she and many dancers with handfuls of mail pile in the back of an LLV as Captain Lou (wearing USPS shorts and Hawaiian shirt) gets behind wheel. After driving erratically down the road they stop, Lou falls out of LLV, opens back and everyone comes out the back dancing, as Cyndi starts running around to bop all of the kids who surround the LLV, as they each get a handful of mail.

Not many are aware that Cyndi Lauper was a USPS employee.

I'll have what your having. Too funny

OK, now I must admit it: I enjoy the physical and auditory feedback experienced as I smack that bopper down on the intended article! It's fun.

I don't remember the the above referenced song, during it's golden days I only had 5 channels on my TV, a laser disc player and a VHS player. My car radio only picked up two channels!

When you first referenced that song, my mind went back to Shirley Jones, bopping books in the movie,
The Music Man, while she was being serenaded by Robert Preston.

more songs not about a po date stamper - bob segers , horizontal pop, or worse yet, poisens, unskinny bop, when you listen to those, nothing about the po comes to mind, or maybe thats just me.

you might want to google urban slang, for the word bop - the song is more along the lines of dating in a different way...
Cyndi Lauper's She Bop is about dating in the same way that Billy Idol's Dancing with Myself is about dating.

In the singular.

That said, She Bop is what first came to my mind when I saw this thread title, LOL! Guess I am of that 1980's age.
