    Back pay 2/7/2020 math?

It's going to be different for every career carrier. There was a post in an old thread somewhere that gave a rough estimate for you to try to figure it out by a formula but I can't find who posted it. Not sure how accurate it will be if I did find it. Just search backpay and look through...

The NRLCA has been notified by USPS that all of the retroactive salary increases included in the 2018-2021 National Agreement will be delayed and are now to be included in the paychecks for PP06-2020 (March 20, 2020). This adjustment will include all eligible rural carriers and all retroactive...

    BEWARE ROTH 401K CHOICES

I've been thinking about splitting my contributions. I think our current tax won't change until 2025 or something is what my wife's financial planner says. He advised me that it would be a good financial decision to split it with the roth. I haven't done it yet. I'm in my 30s, need to start it...

    EAP the Employee Assistance Program?

My son used a local EAP approved counselor for grief counseling when his grandmother (my mom) passed away. It was helpful. So there's options for your family to use it too.

Colorado / Wyoming district offering bonus money and expenses for Seattle carriers to help out

@hockey94 Maybe since Amazon is in Seattle the PO doesn't handle any Amazon. Frees up those carriers from the avalanche of crazy parcels that are likely in Colorado.

Colorado / Wyoming district offering bonus money and expenses for Seattle carriers to help out

I just came to post that from reddit. The mothership messaged us yesterday. I'm several states away. I figured they goofed and others on here also recieved their message in error.

    Do these hours count

Today the scanner alerted that we regulars may volunteer for Sunday work for the CO/WY district. I'm nowhere near Colorado/ Wyoming. Lol 🤣 The mothership screwed that one up, misspellings were in it too! Anyone else get that message?

    Bid question

Or bid by preference and don't make mistakes. Review your bids. Make spreadsheets. Check your work. It's your career, if you play it safe by bidding all you may miss an opportunity for a better route.

    Bid question

Do it by preference. You never know who will bid.

    Bid question

Yes the OP did. And it's always a great idea to bid. You never know if others will do it correctly. I've seen people screw it up and get passed up when they should have been going regular.

    Bid question

Assuming they bid then they likely got that route. I highly doubt that any other regulars moved around to other routes. Good luck next go around!

    Bid question

I have noticed this on bidding and I believe that once they run the bidding program, any routes that have someone moving you will get a new bid date on those routes. I think what this means is that none of the other carriers moved off routes in your situation. If you're the senior, you probably...

I got short changed on my assigned day off?????

They post ours right next to the schedule. It gets updated periodically as Saturdays change due to RCA's leaving or when regulars retire. J routes do get every other Saturday. Other k routes can get Saturday's if there's enough available and is mutually agreeable with management. Ask where you...

I got short changed on my assigned day off?????

Are you a J route currently? There should be a posting in your office that has the current formula listings.

    Formula

Your situation does not sound like a desirable one. I'm sure they will be able to use regulars in emergency situations as they'll cite. In real emergency situations where I'm at the station managers have been known to deliver routes, because of no other option. You shouldn't be bumped from...

    Formula

Well in my situation, I'm in a very large office umbrella. 3 offices in total. Very suburban, minimal real rural. There's around 20 Saturdays and 4 Monday routes. Every other day has around 6-8 routes for every day. So in my situation they are not giving any more Monday k days. They don't like...

    Formula

Once you have a non Saturday relief day they cannot make you change that day and it stays with the route. If a regular retires it will not change either unless you choose a different relief day. If you lose RCA's they cannot change your non Saturday relief day. The only way you will lose your...

    Formula

Yes, we are formula. I'm junior down in the 60s in a 75+ route umbrella. I will not be eligible for Saturday's for a while. I was grandfathered in because the relief day goes with the route when posting. I'm 1 of 4 routes that have Monday's. They aren't giving more out. The way the contract...

    Formula

They can't take a Monday away. They can take a Saturday away. I've been through it. I'm a junior carrier to the majority and landed a Monday k route recently. You can give it up, they can't take it. I was grandfathered into it. A lot of carriers were not happy.
