Contract Time

All --  anyone hear or see any mention of NRLCA preparation for the upcoming contract negotiations?  Apparently no real hurry as the contract does not expire until 20 MAY 2018 - a mere 9 weeks away.

--  On the other hand, the APWU has issued ( 7 MAR 18 ) web news article # 23-2018.   Rank and File Bargaining Advisory Committed Appointed.  Contract negotiations begin 26 JUN 2018.   The APWU-USPS contract expires on 20 SEP 2018.

--  When you care enough to keep the membership informed.....

--  At least the NRCLA has the 2018 National Convention information posted at the its home page - August in Michigan.

--  Any bets if there will be a contract in place by the time the National Convention begins?

What can be said;

Rural Carriers may get a little yappy when they don't get what they want but give them a little food,scratch them behind the ears and they will do what you want.

If we really cared about this we would have acted when things were boring not when the fight is almost over.

The USPS usually uses the other type of dog training tactics, like giving us a good swift kick in the @$$...  I don't so much recall the scratch behind the ears tactic...  <img title="Surprised" alt="Surprised" src="https://www.ruralmailtalk.ruralinfo.net/wp-content/sp-resources/forum-smileys/sf-surprised.gif" />

I'm sure the Union chiefs are waiting for the Study release to determine which way to go. The other Unions aren't waiting on anything... obviously.

crap we are never getting a contract then,because that study is a figment of janets imagination,i mean its what 4 years past due.

I'll bet they have a list on hand and a betting square board of who will be the winner of the pie eating contest.

My crystal balls predict 2020 for a new contract to expire in 2022. No back pay, 1 hard count in this window and no extra pay for new tasks introduced. 1.4 % wage increase as an average.

Our district union rep "Art" assured us we would all go up in our evals. Yeah...ok...every single one of us lost 2-3 hours.

Our union is  s#%*.

$10 says they try to doxx me now.

So, in light of the NO info from NRLCA... what's the prediction... no mail counts, and/or implementation of the time study non-sense for the next 3 or 4 YEARS???  Are we to live on the current evals until then???  <img title="Confused" alt="Confused" src="https://www.ruralmailtalk.ruralinfo.net/wp-content/sp-resources/forum-smileys/sf-confused.gif" />
