Postmaster told us that rrecs implementation was at least a year down the road. No clue where she got the info. Also said that a count was in the works for this September . She didnt elaborate but she is very pro carrier. We can hope! The info on rrecs is very discouraging because even with a count, 10 seconds to deliver our parcel avalanche is a kick in the teeth! Where are you NRLCA? CRICKETS!

That is the whole problem. Even with a count we are getting obsolete standards to evaluate with. What we need is aux help or OT for any hours over evaluation until RRECS is ready. Seeing that RRECs was supposed to be implemented 5 years ago, I don't see what is wrong with this solution...even after a Sept. count.

Your office may have a count planned because she is requesting one but there's no scheduled counts Nationwide for this contract. My PM only chose to count an Aux route last year. LOL

September counts are not scheduled in the contract. They are at the will of the USPS, which has to notify of its intention to conduct a September count at least 30 days in advance.

Would love to see one this year. Many of us would get a more realistic eval which we'd get paid for while RRECS is chewing on the data for the first RRECS evaluation.

Nice to see the title took people same place I went.....Buffalo Springfield, circa 1966-1968, with Stephen Stills being primary to other songs (except possibly Wooden Ships, which Jefferson Airplane also claimed). Getting in to Kent State you are moving away from Stephen Stills.

Is lack of implementation of RRECS a failure for NRLCA or a victory? If it is a disaster for carriers shouldn't you be happy it's not implemented?

An “Office” cannot just plan to have a mailcount unless they just switched to DPS standards. September counts are “Contractual”. It’s either an ALL National Count (no opting out) or only certain routes that qualify under Special Count rules & only those routes.

Or... if the Post Master asks for one.
