Here we go again! Dump everything Monday nothing Tuesday

They have started Sunday drop-off because of plant.

Monday was horrible. I believe 130 scans and :poop: :poop: :poop: :poop: :poop: :poop: ton of flats . Today. 19 scans. Just getting utterly ridiculous. Why even bother having me work Tuesday when Monday is about 4 days worth of mail.

I mean a new RCA walks into a Monday they ain't working in my office, that's for sure. No wonder I have had no sub since Jan

not the point left in gutter, its a rural carrier scam, mondays are done on purpose. The union was like a deer in headlights with no insight when they agreed to the deliver everything everyday. My advice to you atcbige on your timesheet is a leave time they can only hold you for an extra 20 minutes from that, tell them you are leaving and dont bother with the 3rd class leave it behind every monday.

From Article 30 of The Nat'l Agreement ;

A. Even Flow of Mail
The Employer shall make every effort to maintain consis-
tent processing of mail.

He or she MIGHT have done so already but I seriously doubt it , but ask your Steward , or if none your ADR, why this practice has not already been filed upon as a class action issue. Not only in regards to the disparity in the overall workload on Monday compared to Tuesday / other days but also with regard to RRECS and specifically coverage factor.

I'll be the odd duck out and suggest that it's probably not deliberate, and is instead an end result of over a decade of ever worsening employee retention and general employment levels.

We're having constant and consistent dispatch delays, messed up DPS etc. It's my understanding that we've even had the DM running machines in the plant at 2 am, because so few mail handlers showed up.

A few weeks ago here, I heard from the closest office they had a rca out till 130 and he got pulled over by the police thinking he stole a llv. The carrier never files grievance and even when they file on the 12 hour rule it still doesn't stop local jokal management. Then they wonder why everyone quits

Getting slammed on Mondays has been going on for years, as you know, doubt it will change.

Well, the PO as well as quite a few union officials would and could probably argue that getting slammed on Mondays IS consistent in keeping with the language that states "The Employer shall make every effort to maintain consistent processing of mail. " But that's THEM , I am pro carrier. If THEY make that argument , then we go to Article 5 of The Nat'l Agreement which states ;
ARTICLE 5
PROHIBITION OF UNILATERAL ACTION
The Employer will not take any actions affecting wages,
hours
and other terms and conditions of employment as
defined in Section 8(d) of the National Labor Relations Act
which violate the terms of this Agreement or are otherwise
inconsistent with its obligations under law.

The hammering on Mondays and then little thereafter affects wages with respect to RRECS / coverage factor and also affects hours.

Back at it.

Monday slammed 130 scans
Tuesday 19 total scans
Today I'm guessing 120ish scans along with 3 ft presorted

I agree, good luck to all who have to deal with it !

It's our plant. Huge swing of packages and mail. Get absolutely slammed then it's like no one was working down that next day.
Our plant is the same way. We get buried on Mondays and barely anything the rest of the week. It's terrible.

I'm not sure how filing a grievance for even flow of the mail would do anything though. How would one even prove the plant or manglement is at fault?

Yes it is a scam they are setting us to be hourly employees same reason they are wanting to close and consolidate post offices so that when a regular gets back early they will make them go back out and deliver another route. this is being done with the unions blessing.

the packages are one thing but the insane amount of 3rd class is the issue. Also, does anyone else now have to report why you are bringing anything back to the office, Yesterday this started and i have to give the address, class of mail, and why it was brought back, Is this nationwide?
