For those of you expecting radical changes since we finally have a board of Governors….

"Tammy L. Whitcomb has been appointed inspector general by the Postal Service governors.
She will lead the Office of Inspector General, an independent agency that conducts audits and investigations to promote efficiency and maintain accountability and integrity in USPS programs and operations.

Whitcomb has been acting inspector general since 2016.

She began her postal career as audit director in 2005 and later served as assistant inspector general for audit and deputy inspector general."

Sorry to steal your thunder Charlie,

But when I read the title of the original article, I had what can only be described as " a premature expectation"

-- Congratulations and best of luck to Miss Tammy. Unfortunately the USPS is best known for overlooking or just plain ignoring any recommendations made by the USPS OIG.

Good luck on making a top heavy, headed dinosaur more efficient, accountable and trustworthy. All of you at the top who would't dare touch a piece of mail or darken the door of a Post Office or ride and help a carrier, need to look in a mirror and start there FIRST!!!!!

The Who - Won't Get Fooled Again

"Won't Get Fooled Again"

We'll be fighting in the streets
With our children at our feet
And the morals that they worship will be gone
And the men who spurred us on
Sit in judgement of all wrong
They decide and the shotgun sings the song

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again

The change, it had to come
We knew it all along
We were liberated from the fold, that's all
And the world looks just the same
And history ain't changed
'Cause the banners, they are flown in the last war

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
No, no!

I'll move myself and my family aside
If we happen to be left half alive
I'll get all my papers and smile at the sky
Oh I know that the hypnotized never lie
Do ya?

There's nothing in the streets
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by the bye
And a parting on the left
Is now a parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
Don't get fooled again
No, no!

Meet the new boss
Same as the old boss

Hunch...glad ya stole da thunder...That's why I started this topic... But did you notice that she was hired as a bean counter. Bet she has never touched a piece of mail.. Would be nice if her first act as the real OIG would be to go to her local post office and help sort and carry the mail...You know...Find out what your company actually does.
