Mini Survey - Mgmt deleting Random Flats when entered as Unscan Parcels

Thanks, I will do this and let everyone else know as well. Our ADR and DR are in Reno, but their phones still work there. Just 3 hours behind! Lol
Their phones still WORK. And....they're with all their superiors....so this is a great time to connect with them....you may not get an immediate answer, but I'd really love to have all the union leaders there for my DR to ask if they're unsure.....call 'em!!!

So hold on a second has anyone been hounded about this other than survey time? If not then see what I've been saying these surveys are the only thing that really matters towards evaluations and then they decide what numbers go in! We all worried about this stuff for no reason it's gonna be whatever they let it be. Then end
It definitely has felt that way since RRECS began. Mgmt constantly trying to figure out what else they can take away. Then they wanna do stand up talks saying they "don't want any games being played during the MMS". Um, we aren't the ones playing games.

I get daily sign off and then get a copy of the draft work before PM enters into the system.

Now, our offices seem to have reasonable PM's.....but they also know we are checking them continually

Before I sign anything I am positive that the numbers match, and every box reflects accurately what transpired during the MMS

This thing is only maybe 5% -- but if you make $50K and your route goes down 2 hours you just lost $2000+ a year. It matters. One thing this idiot process taught us...LITTLE THINGS MATTER and that we MUST ADAPT to their idiot ways of increasing our evaluations.

Where did he get that info about 9 in a week ask to see that in writing please. I'd love to see that myself.
Honestly I think he made it up. Or misheard it.
He seemed to enjoy negative conflict.
90% of the information he’s told us the last year has been incorrect.

And he’s currently not in the office. The OIC in our office has verified that half what we were told was 🐂 💩.

A copy of the draft work I'm not sure what that means but in the end where on the 4241a or m do you see them exact numbers? That's really the only way to know if nothing got changed ?

PM puts count numbers on a sheet manually. They then go into their office and input those numbers into the system. I keep a copy of the actual count in their handwriting to double check vs what's put into the system and printed out daily.

If the dailies are correct then the final calculations are correct. For those fields that are actual counts, that is.

Please carriers, learn what is an unscanned parcel.
It doesn’t matter how you carry it, it doesn’t need to be too big for the mailbox, there is no need to measure or check it for rigidity.
IF IT DOESN’T FIT IN YOUR CASE SLOT WITH OTHER MAIL, WITHOUT DAMAGING MAIL, IT’S A PARCEL. Yes I’m yelling.
Here’s how we handled our dipstick supervisor. If he wanted us to verify that we had unscanned parcels with him, that is an “additional duty” that is payable on form 8127, or placed on Miscellaneous time during the mini count. After waiting until the supervisor left his desk and was across the office, I timed my journey “In search of my supervisor” to show him my unscanned parcel. This took 4 minutes and 32 seconds. A light popped on inside that tiny little head and unscanned parcels became AGAIN our discretion.
If you happen to be too weak of a person to do this, then at least get some more accurate credit by scanning the unscanned parcels you are allowed as door deliveries. No chance they can know the difference.

the post office allows these items to be sent out for pennies on the dollar, and then blames us for there issues, same way with school pictures, they are sent out as junk mail, and require us to take them to the door, no brainer its a trip the door and an unscanable to the door for me. 2 scans

What about the children's books that are plastic wrapped and say "do not bend" (printed in tiny letters near the bottom of the address section)? They are flexible but it does say not to bend them. Shouldn't I take those to the door and get an unscan parcel credit? Also those large charity envelopes full of crap? They are made of terribly cheap cardboard that if I bend it to put it in the box it will usually rip and pens, notepads, and calculators, etc, will fall out. Shouldn't I treat those with care and take them to the door for the unscan parcel credit? 😁

Thanks everyone for the input. So far, we've decided we will tell them in the morning if any of our random flats will be entered as unscan parcels, and they will deduct those from flats count. In theory it makes sense. But we shall see if they wanna continue arguing what constitutes an unscan parcel.

First all I don't consider them management nobody has a degree in office management or business etc. It's just one dummy training another dummy and another... to rinse and repeat excally what they do. Ive seen it myself 30 yeaes now. Heck non of them could run a rt much less run a office full of real people. Maybe all rural carriers ought to put in for management nation wide, more money less hours less work and don't have to know a dang thing. Let them cover the rts! When I say management I mean 204b and up all the way up!!!

I agree! Stopping at mailboxes to leave breadcrumbs is a joke ! They go by our DPS. That's how many stops we get . No credit to stop and pick up outgoing or for raw mail . They have our routes figured out way ahead of time !! We did our mapping last month. I went from 45 k to 46k . Some other routes went up also ! How come now and not in October???

We don't get to check on our #s . Only radar . Been this way the whole time we've been doing rrecs . I've been told , we are going to be transparent, from management, then nothing ! Filled out a grievance, steward says she will check in on them , lol , a week into this count , still , just the radar. I'm so tired of the BS

RADAR gives you their take on everything that the PM doesn't count -- everything they do count goes onto a sheet they input numbers that they count while you're standing there, you have the right to watch them count. THAT sheet is what I reconcile. We can't do anything about the inequities of RADAR, there's a national grievance from the start based upon bad numbers, we just wait until they come to some agreement I suppose at national level.
