Please carriers, learn what is an unscanned parcel.
It doesn’t matter how you carry it, it doesn’t need to be too big for the mailbox, there is no need to measure or check it for rigidity.
IF IT DOESN’T FIT IN YOUR CASE SLOT WITH OTHER MAIL, WITHOUT DAMAGING MAIL, IT’S A PARCEL. Yes I’m yelling.
Here’s how we handled our dipstick supervisor. If he wanted us to verify that we had unscanned parcels with him, that is an “additional duty” that is payable on form 8127, or placed on Miscellaneous time during the mini count. After waiting until the supervisor left his desk and was across the office, I timed my journey “In search of my supervisor” to show him my unscanned parcel. This took 4 minutes and 32 seconds. A light popped on inside that tiny little head and unscanned parcels became AGAIN our discretion.
If you happen to be too weak of a person to do this, then at least get some more accurate credit by scanning the unscanned parcels you are allowed as door deliveries. No chance they can know the difference.
