Your managers get dinged whenever a scan is made at/in their geofense of their office, so, that's why you can no longer scan there. It is actually good that your manager is helping you catch your missed scans, because you already delivered the parcel with out getting ANY credit for it.
There are a few ways that you can handle these missed scans.
1) If your manager is helpful, you can call them and ask them to send you a picture of the bar code and scan it before you get back into the office geofense, which is about a 1/4 to 1/2 mile away. Scanning at that time is in the wrong area, but is of no consequence unless the parcel you delivered is stolen off the porch or out of the box.
2) You can look at your scanner "Lookahead" and see if you've missed any parcels, write down the bar code number of any that you missed, or take a picture of it, or key it into your scanner before entering back into the geofense.
3) You can scan in all your parcels under "Load truck" after having entered "Start load" (This will increase your loading time) and check your look ahead at various times throughout your route to ensure you haven't missed any scans. The ones with the red X mean you didn't scan them under "load truck" or never received them into you parcel hamper, and the the ones with the green check mark means you scanned them properly.
In any case we all make mistakes, and miss scans occasionally, just like the clerks that mis sort our parcels and mail, or your manager that screws up your pay checks. None of those usp employees receive discipline for their mistakes and they are PAID to make them. When we miss a scan we aren't paid to deliver that parcel. Therefore, it would be disparate treatment to give discipline to one of us for that mistake, while not giving punishment to the clerks or managers making mistakes.
