New MOU about route cuts.

What it says is anyone that was cut and then the route went back up will be set back to the cut hours. We had routes gain 25 plus hours due to this issue. So if you were cut to a 43K and went back up to a 48k you will be reduced back down to the 43K. Conversely any routes that lost time from rrecs after being added to will rebound to previous time.

Additionally carriers will be required to pay the difference back to usps if the route is adjusted back down. Carriers who are adjusted up due to this will be compensated. If you were cut you will owe money to usps and if you were added you are owed from usps. The amount owed depends but it's the amount since the last rrecs evaluations.

Letter of demand?..
It seems it will be automatically done. Back pay owed by the carrier will be 15 percent per pay peroid so it will take 3-4 pay peroids to repay the post office the overage paid depending on size. I think the carriers who are owed will be paid the full amount one lump sum.

If a carrier lost a relief day, and as a result of the mou gains it back, will they be paid Daca5 or whatever it is now for working their relief days?

When is this all taking place, I take that it is effective immediately, but when will the retroactive actions take place?

So if the evaluations are based on the past 52 weeks of data you just got screwed! My route was cut 2 months before MMS so 10 months of data and no pay for it. This union is absolutely insane. The cuts should be immediately, however the data and pay should be allowed to catch up every MMS, otherwise you just got cheated out of all the work you did! Don Maston you should be ashamed of yourself!!!!!! How pathetic. Everyone should flood his email with their disdain. Who did he sellout too???? Get ready for the new contract!!!! DMaston@nrlca.org

Read it fully it states the eval of what it was cut down to or added to will hold for 1 year after the cut/add. The following mms will then have 52 weeks of data to get a true eval.

Yes it is not perfect but for those who got routes created or added to and never saw any benefit but longer hours it hurt a lot more.

The timing of cuts should definitely be considered, it would be good to be paid the full amount your route grew to be for a while, before it gets reduced in size. If rrecs ever works as advertised, we all should be paid for the full value of what we are currently delivering based on UP TO twelve month histories of individual address values. I don’t like the idea that it is being expressed that it takes twelve months to get a daily average, it only takes twelve months to get a daily average if you flunked arithmetic. Our union reps should have to pass a basic math test before they can get on the ballot. For routes that grow in between counts, there needs to be an equitable process for evaluation increases in between counts, maybe there is one, I don’t know, but there needs to be a process that is universally known and that actually works as intended.

I think the union President should have to pay back the “overpayments” or the usps suck it up since they both screwed up this whole sh!$Tahoe called RRECCs instead the carriers who carry this company keep getting ripped off

So my route is a 48k ever since rrecs started and has never been cut. So this won’t affect me? Only Routes that got cut correct?

Anyone have ideas how we can fight back? NLRB? We HAVE TO FIGHT BACK! This is unacceptable!
I am ALL for the fight each and every time even when a matter may seem "small" and I am certainly NOT defending or otherwise sticking up for them and I have had WAY more arguments with the union than I have management. Having said that, DFR can be quite difficult to prove. You'll see just by the one attachment that unions pretty much are allowed , by law, to represent poorly.

Growth is interim adjustment and it specifically mentioned that it would not be held in to the 52 weeks of data needed.

Yes, USPS needs to suck it up, they need to suck it up UNTILL they get it right, and then they can say get their money back one percent of it back per year, unless they f up again, then they forfeit. The last sentence of the mou says a lot, it says: “yes, rrecs was ready to go, all we needed is some future advancements in technology”. I don’t believe future advancements in technology are required, you could go back a few decades and get all the technology required. We do need people that will do their jobs however

Only those routes could have been held at the evaluation or the affected carriers could have been offered hourly for the time period. This mou harms far more than it helps, and it's especially egregious because it's harming the people who've been abused for the last six years: the amazombies.
Rrecs is supposed to pay us for everything we do, but if you can't affect your evaluation, you're not getting paid for everything you do. Parcel volume doubles? Hahaha sucker AGAIN

I spoke to national, ad nauseum, about this during the testing phase. They were saying it wouldn't affect enough routes to push for a change in software. I was firmly against instituting yet another program that wasn't ready for prime time. There are many routes who don't want their 48k status touched but, even more who gained territory only to lose hours. Thankfully, you now have 2 board members who can math.

I guess the mass loss from attrition and membership created the need.
