Notice of overpayment on recent retroactive back pay

Always file a grievance on any letter of demand, asking them to prove that you owe $. Most managers are inept at any ability to demonstrate how/why you owe $, and will settle for a lesser amount or "release" the debt in a settlement to avoid that work. No body I know, knows exactly what amount we were owed in the last "back pay", and to figure it out you need to have hours to put into it. Most managers, and even grievance specialist won't do that work.

In each instance where you were shorted $, a grievance should be filed. You should ask to have the deduction completely explained and the amount returned until there is a thorough itemized accounting of the back pay and the amount taken out of your check.
