On February 6, 2025, Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA) and Congressman Greg Landsman (D-OH) re-introduced the Protect Our Letter Carriers Act, H.R. 1065. Sens. I AGREE.....PASS LEGISLATION AGAINST THE NRLCA, CLOSE THEM DOWN, FEDERALLY CHARGE ALL THE PEOPLE IN CHARGE OF THE LAST 5 YEARS OF THEFT THEY'VE COMMITTED. THAT WOULD BE A NICE START FOR PROTECTING THE CARRIERS....😡😡😡🤠

ok guys.

try to tone down the bashing - this is a good bill to protect our fellow brothers and sisters.

call/write your congress critters to voice your support.

Apologies but I dont see the protection in the bill presented.
1. We now place another bureaucrat to accelerate an already criminal offense towards prosecution.
2. We add further charges to an already criminal action to hopefully deter an undeterred criminal.
3. We change locks that will be on backorder for years nationwide, allowing undeterred criminals time to adapt and overcome to access the sealed treasures.

I think that covers the bill overall? This does not provide a defensive vest for survivability. This does not provide an emergency response for target risk. This does not prevent criminals from existing.

I hear less about armored cars being attacked, and i hear far less of them losing any of their charge. They're not just survivable, they are far more valuable.🤔

And let's not FORGET.....they can exercise their 2nd AMENDMENT rights. All mail carriers should have the right to carry on the job. Period. An armed society is after all....a polite society. Sounds like something a Founding Father of our great country might just say....😐😐😐🤠

In this day and age I have to politely disagree with this sentiment. Not saying people can’t or shouldn’t be able to defend themselves or arm themselves. Just saying proper training should and better be mandated to allow the carrying of firearms for personal defense.

In all honesty being aware of your surroundings and proper training for it would go a long way imo.
