Newest audit DR AR 19-005...Delivery Delays in the Richmond District...Ya gotta love OIG wording...."Mail was not always delivered on time to the 16 delivery units in the audit."...None of the 16 units achieved their goal of distributing mail to carriers after arrival of mail at the delivery up time of 8:30"
OIG then goes into pointless blather about different reports and programs....OIG misses AGAIN what is so obvious to every carrier in usps land... If you don't get the mail to us in proper order and on time, we know we are going to be late getting back.......It ain't rocket science.. But the rocket scientists in OIG are only capable of setting off fireworks which sound good but do nothing...
I write up these OIG reports for the rest of us for a reason.... When an idiot manager harps on you to get back on time and the mail came late to you... Just pull up one of these worthless audits and hand it to the idiot. Smile and ask..."Guess I should let OIG know that we have this problem also and they might want to pull an audit here." Then the kicker to the idiot.." You'd have to agree that this would help us, wouldn't it?.

They probably figured out a way to say it was somehow the carriers' fault...
The audit was on city side...so...no it wasn't the carriers fault (their union would have fought for them if it was). No...They blaimed the poor slob lowest down manangers for not inputting and watching their computer screens so they could swing carriers around all over the place to be more efficient ( like this doesn't cause miss deliveries, etc). But it is a totally bullshit audit....Ya have to read the usual upper management responses... Well, we'll make all the folks below us do their jobs, we'll make them take training and we promise on a stack of bibles that this will fix the problem.....Read that as "You gave us a bullshit so here's some back"...They all kiss and make up and uspsland goes marching along oblivious into the sunset..

That was EXACTLY the solution they came up with when the Postal Pulse concluded that the USPS was dismal place to work... the Postal Pulse just became about lower level local issues and NOT the USPS as a whole... so basically it's screwed up at the lower levels, and it sucks there, and it's all of the lower level peeps fault... but at the upper levels, it's all peachy and everything is fine and wonderful...
