Got a letter yesterday from the Postmaster General, and a scanner message that said to disinfect my car often. WTF! They say we are essential, they thank us for our work, tell us to clean, and keep on trucking. What about the fact they don't care at all! If they cared we would have hand sanitizer, we would have disinfectant wipes, we would have all necessary supplies to do so. Instead the offices are so micromanaged that all supplies are questioned and then denied. We are having to ask the public for help getting what we need. The places where people are testing positive aren't being cleaned like they tell everyone, just ask the people working there. We are at serious risk, as we also have to worry about the people now testing positive at amazon too since we handle a large majority of their stuff. This is ridiculous. I want hazard pay, I want reimbursement for the stuff I personally bought to keep myself safe while working, and I want reimbursed for going out In public endangering myself and my family to get said supplies. In 25 years with the USPS I have never seen such disregard for employees. But you just keep sending those letters and phone calls telling us you are doing everything to keep us safe, because it makes me feel so much better! This letter, scanner message, and useless notices that are posted in the offices are just a smoke screen so they can say they did something (cover their a$$) evidently they have never heard that actions speak louder than words!
