Route adjustments and creation of new routes under RRECS

The grievance as i see it lies in the USPS's failure to implement RRECS as promised. Changes to routes whether up or down are supposed to kick in on a "monthly" basis, if i add 15 residents within a month and am 4 minutes from the next K step, the system should "automatically" implement the step up.... it doesn't!

Carriers are rightfully pissed, doing extra work without entitled compensation for the full period between mini counts. The USPS wants to nickle & dime us through RRECS scans and the system as implemented just favors them.

I understand retrieving 12 months of data, as a baseline only, but after that baseline has been established, changes need to occur monthly.
why does the union keep saying RRECS is great what are they getting for this lie

Had 3 aux routes go full time and get awarded on Sept. 22. They were all awarded as 43 k routes. Two weeks later, rrecs mini mail count is over. Two were returned to aux routes the other to a j route. One route, on date awarded, had a volume factor of 2.37. The volume factor 2 weeks later from rrecs is 0.89. The other lost, .8 and .6 on their volume factor.

make sure those carriers get with the ADR/DR asap.

The Union said for me to dispute but, without paper facts from now and the past, it will be hard to prove.
management won't even give me the history, said they don't have it.

It is so wrong! The numbers are wrong and they are like Oh Well, it will get better, be glad you're regular now. I don't trust them or the system now. I cannot even feel good about my job anymore. Or myself for putting up with it. They know they have us by the ⚾'s.
6 day workweeks rural carriers. 0ne, two, RRECS is coming for you.

Probably weren't doing their scans.

It's because you can move volume and mileage credits during a route adjustment or build but, once the route is created at the first mms - only that routes data will count towards the 12 months window. For example: if a route was created in August at 43k, that route would depend upon the mms survey and 1 month of delivery data to create a new evaluation. The result is it would absolutely tank u til 12 months of data are available under that route number.

It's also why routes being cut prior to last mms aren't receiving large drops after mms. They are still carrying the data of the delivery for the territory they dropped.

they are in the process of documenting all of this mess.

if you are an affected carrier, reach out to upper union.
They are in the process of documenting all of this mess. October 5 to today, one month and a week, any updates on the mess documentation? I was encouraged that enough people seemed to be aware of the big problem, but it seems now like crickets. I don’t know about contacting whoever: supervisor, manager, rep, adr, upper union, Attila, whoever, whenever, whatever Simon Says. I don’t believe anyone should have to contact anyone, although I’m sure that enough contacts Have been made to You Name It, it’s been done, but, crickets. A glaring, obvious error should be automatically addressed, I may have missed it, has the current NRLCA president made any, any remarks on the subject? I am not a directly affected carrier, however, just one carrier that is only getting half their contractual compensation is enough. I am concerned, this particular mess didn’t directly affect me, but it is affecting others, and other messes are affecting me, and I’m a bit concerned, this mess isn’t being addressed, what does that say for yet to come messes?

New mou Nov 18 addresses my questions

I knew it !! And I called it when the last mms result came out . This is the natural and only way out . And close to the true evaluation under the circumstances . Now the hard question is , what happens to the people who got overpaid all these weeks if evaluation is getting adjusted retroactively? That’s another kind of mess

Lol! I was thinking about you when I read the MOU. You absolutely did call it!
I understand it as Carriers are going to pay back the overpaid money and the underpaid will get back pay and any k day adjustments.

Thank you for mentioning it back then. It helped me come to grips with what just happened. I am certain I didn't like what you proposed back then. It made sense after I thought about it more.

Get pounded by Amazon for years end up 48k+ for little over a year. Lose most of Amazon to in reality not be overburdened only on paper, get cut to a 43k and then have Amazon dump again after and you get your overburdened 48k+ but smaller and only get paid for 43k until a full year is up.

Bend over. The MOU has no protection from that.

We are on evaluated pay system . We never ever get paid for actual work done
The extremely overburdened routes (me included: 73-82 standard hours for the entirety of rrecs) did all that work to earn (way more than) that 48k evaluation for as long as those data points are in the system. We're evaluated, but on a 6-12 month delay. I should be getting paid for my work from that time, since I haven't yet. Nice that the NRLCA is cool with USPS stealing from me, really happy about that.

Only the routes that dropped should have been frozen at their adjusted evaluation. Or the affected carriers getting the option of hourly for the time period.

This mou was an absolutely awful choice.
