Where in the contract does it state that if a regular hasn’t been on a route for more than 2 years that the route has to be posted.
There's a mou on job related injuries and posting after 2 years. If not job related injury, then carrier can be off for 30 years doing union stuff or management stuff.Where in the contract does it state that if a regular hasn’t been on a route for more than 2 years that the route has to be posted.
Off the Job injuries only allow 1 year, not 2. The carrier must relinquish his route, they do not hold a “phantom route”. A grievance needs to be filed if mgmt refuses to comply. It was an off the job injury...
“Phantom” routes are for ON-the-job injuries, not “off”. Once the carrier is off the route, mgmt has 30 days to get it posted.Well how long does the regular have to be on the phantom route have to be in effect before the route can be posted
If they aren’t part of the Office (APO/RMPO), they cannot file. If they are part of the APO/RMPO Office, hey should contact their District Rep for clarification on the route in question & how to proceed.Someone was asking me if they don’t have a steward in their office can they file a grievance where the route should be posted at with that unit shop steward or does he need to file with the district rep
