I would say the mouth not knowing what the hands are doing, but more likely this was an article to gage stock reactions (and manipulate the portfolio). Hurrah centralized corporate assets!
 
this is what i stated on the other topic about this, they are trying to negotiate, form .20 cents a package down to .10 cents a package . usps will take it , they are a blind squirrel trying to find a nut.
 
Full automation is still years, if not decades away. I heard people (who don’t work for USPS) fear mongering about this, and this entire week we’ve been delivering nothing but giant Amazon boxes. You hear anyone clutching pearls about “Amazon splitting from USPS” you spit in their face for me

It would be the best thing that ever happen to the post office to dump Amazon would bring the price of a stamp down and the letter volume and advertisments up we do not need Amazon they need us to survive.
they are a welfare company make them pay the same rate as everyone else that walks to the window to ship a package and we would in the black by the end of the week and with less half the packages

We dont have Amazon in our office.....🤣😂🤣😂🤣 Guess it sucks in your office...
 
I'm not being mean about it gotrope, I'm just happy that I found an office where I dont have Amazon now. I spent 21 years hauling their CRAP, and not getting paid for it. And....my old office really, really sucked, and po mgmt did too. Just stating the facts....
 
Definitely a negotiating tactic. By end of Dejoy tenure I started to become a fan of Dejoy plan . He was onto something good with his ground advantage plan and idea of renegotiating last mile prices . I hope present leadership sticks to the plan

Just a fact check. Amazon contract went nationwide in 2016.

The unions all vilified him. He really did have a plan to improve conditions. Not everything worked. Mostly from internal sabotage of his plans. I was able to meet with him several times on things over the years. I liked his direction, for the most part.

Of course it did....however....it felt like years, and years, and years. As a matter of fact, it felt like wwwaaaayyyy more than 21 years....and with that, I'll leave you to being factual as usual good buddy....
