Yes..and the fact that the usps has yet to disclose data capture methods which violates the arbitrator award,labor laws,etc...harping on the pay cuts makes it look like a petty feud
Exactly. If the article says here is my route which was technically a 49K is now a 46K. Explain that I can't even verify my local papers are on there. Can't see my data. I have standards that just kill my route. Walking 277 ft or something like that is 1 minute. There are fed time standards and I am almost certain those aren't followed.
These articles NEVER tell the WHOLE story. I used this analogy in another post the other day but it is accurate in this instance as well. The article reads , " NECIAT has never wrecked a Rolls Royce " What the articles fail to do is tell the REST of and / or the WHOLE story which would be " NECIAT has never driven a Rolls Royce."

True, and yet, this article had more info than most I’ve seen. I suppose RRECS is such a complicated system reporters maybe don’t want to get into the nitty gritty of it. Typical Americans have such short attention spans, perhaps reporters may be afraid of losing their audience with too many details? Even one of my best friends who is a smart high level computer manager prefers quick summaries and has trouble understanding when I try to explain what we are going through.
System is way too complicated for anyone to truly understand. To try and tell some reporter or member of Congress about rrecs and all the impossible standards and flaws and no way to verify the data would take many many hours to explain, and even then they won't really comprehend it. Top management will just say it was a negotiated with the union, mail volume has dropped over the years, carriers were trained and knew this was coming, and this is the outcome.
No small article in some paper, or five minutes before a congress woman will reveal all the corruption with rrecs. It's going to take a highly organized detailed report exposing everything that has happened over the last 11 years, to how each standard was determined, the results of the study routes, to what was changed from the final engineers report, to the lack of training, to why only the 6 required scans were important, to why there is no validation of the data, why many carriers have zeros for many categories, to why rrecs was implemented even though both parties agrees that there are missing data. PLUS MANY OTHER ISSUES. The victory needs to be won in court or the labor board, but I'm afraid we don't have the leadership that will be able or want to do it.

Too bad a reporter didn't ask USPS that if they agreed on this system why did the union file a step 4 and NLRB??
