  • I'm saving 58 cents, won't even vote....

    Votes: 8 6.1%

  • Total voters
    131
It just hit me, the three options you have are!

  • I will vote YES for this contract!!!
  • I will vote NO for this contract!!!!
  • I'm saving 58 cents, won't even

I've forgotten from the last time we voted "do we actually have to put a stamp on the ballot after all the money we give them"?

You would think they would set up an account that would just charge them for the returned postage! This might also stimulate more participation!
As I recall, we do have to put a stamp on it... agree, the cheap bastids could at least provide a business reply postage paid envelope... 🤷‍♂️

I agree our board needs replacing I've said that for years but nobody ever complains until something real important comes up. Now isn't the time we've should of worked on that problem years ago, so it is what it is but maybe when this contract gets voted out that might get them motivated to get out as well? Or at least motivate the body to replace them. Who knows?

Wasn't aware the insurance rate was changed in the Tentative Contract.....maybe I just missed it!!
The contract did not change the rate, but the yearly rate rose due to covering RCA's supposedly: making the insurance unaffordable for retirees so why be in the Union and retired.

From Nov-Dec magazine:

"They also
know how inflation has ticked up, that wage
growth is happening in the private sector, and
they know all the sacrifices that you have made
during the pandemic, and continue to make. "

1.3%
" Ticked up? " More like skyrocketed. " Wage growth ? " More like cloning and that's NOT counting the sign on bonuses and other incentives.

I can sorta understand peeps frustration at the contract... but, they need to keep in mind if it goes to arbitration, it'll be these same clowns arguing and losing on our behalf.... 🤷‍♂️ 🤡👎
Of the two losing options available, hiding the shame of the Board from being witnessed by a third party is the closest to a "win" we can expect to have?

DB, you might want to do some math with your salary and proposed increases from when they take effect. My backpay would be under $1000 after taxes. Might need to wait on that boat. 😔 it's good to get backpay but, I think you might be shocked at the low amount.

Well, if what they say about the 5.6% pay boost effective at contract signing is true, then multiplying my current annual salary by the 5.6%.. yields about a ~$4300 boost, putting the annual salary north of $80 THOUSAND $$$$ clams... I think the other fellow who did the math on the backpay came up with ~$1500 $$$ clams..... so apparently, everybody is using a different brand of calculator....

As I said previously.. slice it however you wanna.. when did we ever get this much $$$$ in any previous contract???

Certainly not the last 2 that both passed with flying colors...

Don't hate me for trying to apply some common sense to the conversation... 🤷‍♂️

Your going to lose it just as fast as you got it. Don't you see that?

I know I am late, but...

Wow, may have to provide documentation for leave..that's BS

I think we should go one calendar year out from date of submission.
I say this because that is how the program is set up in Lite blue...you can put in for one year out.
If that is how USPS has it set up in their system, why should we agree to lower it to 60 friggin days??? So stupid.

And "provide documentation " so I am supposed to sign on and pay for a cruise, then submit for leave so I can provide proof of travel, and then you deny, and I still have to pay for cruise...again stupid.

Having and losing it is better than not having it and losing it, imo.....

Are you referring to losing under RRECS???? Please elaborate on how we're gonna be "losing it"???? 🤷‍♂️ 🧐

I'm not aware of a lot of peeps requesting leave more than 60 days in advance.... I never have.... never really heard of anybody in my office doing it either.... but it may be different in other locations.... 🤷‍♂️ 🧐
