Claims Rural Route Cartiers Make 100k a year?

Love how that article fails to focus on the real issue at hand which is that we are majorly underpaid. Also sounds like she lives on an HC route and some of those carriers are worse off then rurals in terms of pay.

USPS is lying, their default position. No way they'd ever step up and say that all starting rural carrier jobs are part time and $19/hour, which is the truth.

100k a year????? USPS is probably claiming mileage in on that, which then technically would be over 100k but still have to Table 1 higher end route with lot of miles.

So dumb of the USPS to claim you CAN MAKE more than 100k. Well sure I work every Saturday, work other routes, and work Sundays maybe

🤣 Pretty much Only if you are On Table 1.. step 12 with an overburdened route and working your K days...
Yep..
They need to be educated on the difference between city carriers and rural carriers...city in our area easily make 80,90,+k a year and a few went into the 100k during covid..but definitely NOT rurals.
And only like you said....table 1,step 12,overburdened and working relief days.......

I actually emailed the reporter that did the story and explained the typical hiring via the step 2 RCA. Wonder if they'd bother to chase that down? It would certainly help explain the story, and why the crisis is so bad. No way someone can afford to work for the PO in that area, and commuting is equally impossible.
