Neither the USPS or the NRLCA give a crap about us. It's all about what's in it for them. We as rural carriers are used and abused by both sides. One day the rural craft will simply be a thing of the past. We are being disassembled and thrown to the side like useless trash. I once took pride in being a carrier, the only thing keeping me in is the customers on my route who deserve better than the bullshit being handed out by the USPS. I'm lucky to have decent customers for the most part. They are the ones who get a big screw you in the end.
It was already hard to get people in the door.I've heard no effective plans to turn this bloodbath around.... they've got a screw you tool now that will deal devastation for years to come.... and unlike previous screw jobs, like Table 2, this one spares no one, it can screw old timers as well as the newbies.... quite devious and ingenious.... I'm glad it didn't hit until I was already one foot out the door.... as Mr. T would say, I pity the fools who will have to work under this abortion of a pay system for the coming years....![]()

I'm not seeing any heading in, but many seem to be heading out, or at least laying plans to go....It was already hard to get people in the door.
Like what? This article was off on MANY points! This was horrible investigating on the writer’s part. They should at least get the FACTS right.![]()
The article was published on July 2 by World Socialist WS. The author claims that this was negotiated in our contract a year ago… wrong! They claim that the Union & PO created the RRECS system… Wrong! They claim that the Union is depriving carriers of any way to fight the system when the Union has laid out the documentation that we need to request to empower ourselves so we may locate the inconsistencies in our Evaluation calculations.Like what?![]()

Some things could be agreed upon like upping some credits but that still had to go through the engineers & arbiter approval. To be fair, it's impossible to explain our system to anyone. Most working under the system don't understand it. But, I'm not super critical of the USPS/nrlca agreed to it comment. They did by way of an arbitration initiation. But, all parts of the rrecs system were mutually agreed to prior to Implementing. The nrlca said so in many forums.
The arbitrator never reviewed the process once they ordered both to investigate a new compensation system. Some things could be agreed upon like upping some credits but that still had to go through the engineers & arbiter approval.
Sorry. it’s the 3rd engineer that works as the ”Decider” that I think of as an “Arbitrator“ in a sense. If we had been given all credits as they should have been given, a lot more of us would not have lost so much if any at all.The arbitrator never reviewed the process once they ordered both to investigate a new compensation system.
The 3 person panel of engineers had the real power. And both parties agreed to abide by the findings of the engineers.
Its splitting hairs to say nrlca did not agree. They did. Nrlca is still stating the system seems sound by standards.
The fact that most rurals lost under the new system was unfortunate. That's a direct quote of the board.
Agreed. The engineers wrote in their report wss/wsh were to be included for coverage factor- USPS unilaterally changed to only wss. The engineers findings were cherry picked by USPS to the extent they could. And nrlca failed to fire back a labor charge.Sorry. it’s the 3rd engineer that works as the ”Decider” that I think of as an “Arbitrator“ in a sense. The Union agreed to the removal of WSH as is seen in the April 2022 Cheat Sheet on the Union website.Agreed. Its a dismal mess that will be years in correction.
But the union also insisted WSH was being captured as late as early this year, but then after the MMS our office was informed it should have been counted in MMS and that union knew by then it wasn’t being included in automatic counts. Way too many tweaks and inconsistencies and misinformation to have gone live with this. The Union agreed to the removal of WSH as is seen in the April 2022 Cheat Sheet on the Union website.
Some offices are still allowing the use if a large majority of the route is covered.
311. Flats and letters WSH. I see that was deleted from the Q and A. Is that still one of theThe Union agreed to the removal of WSH as is seen in the April 2022 Cheat Sheet on the Union website.

Just reading it wrong. Sorry.311. Flats and letters WSH. I see that was deleted from the Q and A. Is that still one of the
scans?
A. No, as per the Engineering Panel, the WSS Scans are for mail endorsed "WSS" only.
For some reason the Union went back for guidance from the panel and changed the original Q&A.
