You guys hear about the new Amazon rules starting Easter Sunday?

Will ask one of our ARCs Sunday about this. They love to call me about dogs customers etc every Sunday about time I return the favor 😂.

Edit: our start time Sunday holiday has always been 8 am. Doubt it changed most likely a area difference.

Our pm just said today that the cca/rcas had to be on the street within 30 min of start time on sunday. If anyone is over 8hrs, they better have an explanation ready. Kept repeating vehicle breakdowns would be an excuse(as in, its the only excuse)

These people are going to running this place into the ground..

Carrier expected start time: 10am

Scan rate: 18-22ppm

Office time: 15min

Load time: 30 min

First delivery: Within 5 minutes of office departure.

This is for both city and rural carriers. Routes are being cut down and reorganized to be around 8 hours (10am-6pm).
LOL, there have been many Sundays where I’m DONE at 10:15-10:30 AM. I’m so glad I made regular last month, but this micromanagement and these out of touch demands are never going to stop until we are all basically city carriers. I haven’t heard about this affecting my area but I know stupidvisors would be just as upset as subs, I don’t think anyone wants to work Sunday, let alone ALL DAY Sunday. I’m convinced they really do try to think of the most pointless and inconvenient thing, and then implement just for fun at this point. There is nothing good that will come of this and as much as I sped to go home early I would purposefully take 12 hours every time until it stopped.

Ibpd16 -- "I just accepted pse clerk in my office and will resign my ARC position. However I also applied for Animal Control Officer with the city and for Park Ranger at one of the state parks. I get offered either of those 2 I’m out."

-- Since you've done about everything in the office, if offered a post master position, would you take it?!?

-- An Animal Control Officer position might land you in a post office!

That is while scanning parcels as you load them, right
And this is a classic example of incrementalism, foot in the door, testing the waters , etc. Getting this to work even HALF WAY on "innocent Amazon Sunday" will be used against the craft as a whole. Even variations thereof will be used.

They already asked me a couple years ago to be a supervisor. And recently they asked me to be a 204b. My response both times was he’ll no

-- How the heck are they going in enforce that one?
I have been doing Highway contract routes on Sundays. No way I hit the first stop in 5 minutes. If they say something I will turn it back around on manglement and ask them what specifically I should do to get there in 5 minutes.

Thanks. Between my law enforcement and postal careers I’ve done many different things in those jobs. Would love the outdoor nature of the park ranger job. But the animal control job offers training in dog obedience. That could turn into a nice side hustle. Dog obedience classes ain’t cheap.
