No miscellaneous time???

I was a rt that was cut in May. My rt is frozen so I am not able to receive any forms for this last survey. However, when I look back I at my MMS form from the previous survey I see I have zero for Miscellaneous time. In all the ones prior to that I had 30 min for miscellaneous time. Why do you think this is?

If you're frozen, nothing we did in this last survey or prior to it matters. The new 52 weeks worth of data started on the Saturday after the survey ended. Grant it the data would be good to have in there, but your pay won't be impacted in any way once the one year freeze ends. Make sure it's in the next two surveys though.

That being said I think it's completely ridiculous that we can't see our data.

That’s was actually before my rt was cut. It showed zero for miscellaneous time. PM says she puts service talks in everyday. Has anyone else had a zero in that column

Service Talks is not Misc Time.
Misc Time is the very limited number of timed functions during the MMS. If there was qualifying timed functions in the Spring MMS, it is now too late dispute it.

What are the timed functions that you are referring to. My first MMS I had 60 minutes in that category. Then I had 30 minutes for two surveys and then zero for the last two surveys. I am not sure what I had for this last survey because I am not getting any paper work. Is the miscellaneous time
Something the PM puts in?

It seems that every mms the misc time credits change to allow less and less but we are never told anything. How can standards just be “changed”?

Person was most likely entering info in wrong. It was a "gift" that you had that much misc time to begin with.

Misc time would be for a gate code if you gotta wait for the gate or something. It is very limited. What changed was management getting chewed out for giving misc time. Didn't happen the prior surveys and just caught up. That is my guess anyway.

Had a carrier in our office who had 5 thousand feet for one of his dismounts. Yep. Over a mile. That went on for an entire survey of time. No one ever flagged it or anything. Carrier corrected the issue of course but it takes time for things to catch up. One would think over a mile of distance for a dismount would be something the machines flag for review. Perhaps it was and management just missed the email about the flag? Either way the point was to show how glaringly obvious things are overlooked. An hour of misc time is a lot but could have easily been overlooked for the last few surveys.

I had almost 4 hours of misc time spring, reduced to 3 hours this go round. It's very route dependent. Tripled most of my other categories though so gained 11 hours.

Yes happened every survey except this one. This time I went to pm and asked how many minutes were added and what days. I received 2 minutes on 4241a oh wow watch out! I still didn't get the distance to walk to receive the talks again though? Such a mess

The problem is my rt got cut. So it wasn’t necessarily a gift but a curse if I’m had false info factored in

it also includes:

customer communication in office - claim it if customer on phone or at front and clerk comes to you to ask the question(s), not just if you have to go to phone or window.

electronic parcel lockers (as stated by upthread poster)

waiting for trains (as stated by upthread poster)

reloading satchel

non-personnel unit time

also, if in rmpo, anything that cannot be taken care of during EOS due to no clerk in p.m. (replenishment of stamp stock, mailing out packages that need postage, obtaining money order and so on)

it can all add up.

:)

Have multiple gates, a railroad, and 2 electronic lockers i deliver to. Spring people were ordering all over but volume dropped severely and so Fall was like half at the lockers. Brings a nice chunk in for sure, makes up for CBUs having terrible credit otherwise
How in the world is that four hours of misc time? Gates are 20 to 30 seconds. Railroad is a few mins max if hit and electronic lockers are 30 to 60 seconds each a day if used. Four hours is more than double what a heavy route gets credit for all of their weekly DPS mail. Probably more than what most routes get for all of their parcel credit too

They might be referring to this regarding the EPL time ;

i have a weekly train that is anywhere from 4 - 13 minutes depending on if i get to the crossing at the beginning, middle or near the end of its passing. that's just one train.

i have multiple crossings with multiple wait times within the week. weekly time is anywhere from 20 to 35 minutes, depending on my volume and when i leave the office.
