Well, I'm still looking. But in the meantime and for some documentation I did find this from another state's union mag. This was from the National level grievance resulting from the '02 massacre , I mean count , where upon the PO was messing with mark ups, loading times, and column R ( misc. time ) time. In part from page(s) #8 and #9 ;
I realize that it has seemed like an eternity to bring
closure to the 2002 National Mail Count Grievance,
but our Union never faltered and continued to press
forward for a fair and equitable resolution. Finally
on December 14, 2007, we learned that the Union’s
persistent effort resulted in an unbelievably-large
monetary grievance settlement. We were once called
by the NALC (City Carriers’ Union) the lap dog
of management. That was never a true statement,
but today more than ever, a good argument could
be made for the NRLCA being called the lead dog
of the sled team. The NRLCA settled with the
Postal Service for an approximately 60-million-
dollar remedy.
Regular carriers who have been
on the rolls from 2002 through 2006 will receive
$780 each.
My recollection was clearly inaccurate in my above post. Anyhow, it was roughly 5 years before THAT "settlement" was even reached and it did not in any way reflect even a small percentage of the monetary damaged inflicted upon the craft of which we are STILL feeling the effects to this day. So, to anyone having high hopes of thousands recovered along with relief days or pay for relief days worked that SHOULD have been enjoyed along with RCAs receiving pay for the days they SHOULD have worked but did not because the route(s) were not evaluated properly............................................consider yourself forewarned. A "settlement" is always lurking in the shadows. The write up / report can be found here.
