The complaint argues that the post office carry ban violates the Second Amendment under the Supreme Court’s text-and-history test set forth in NYSRPA v. Bruen. In Bruen

It's nice to see the NRA interested in helping carriers. Here in NY where the state favors the criminals and actively prevents them being jailed crime is rampant because there are no real consequences and thus victims live in fear.

I fear for our plant truck drivers coming from the inner city areas where the plants are and carjackings occur daily. We also deal with many aggressive criminals next to our loading dock that bother carriers or actually try to get parcels when someone's back is turned. These situations could escalate quickly and management will do nothing to ensure our safety. We even had a city carrier in a nearby city that was kidnapped and beaten while delivering her route, the kidnappers got her ID and knew her address saying they would go there and kill her children.

If the scumbags in this world thought we were armed and could protect ourselves with more than a tray of DPS and a tiny squirt of dog spray, we all would be a lot safer.

Sounds they are arguing having one on you on postal property. This would not chase company policy on carriers carrying or having one on company property. You all do realize this right? We are still employees of usps and subject to company policy.

i find it interesting that upon hire, we take an oath to defend the constitution and yet our employer violates said constitution.

bully for the nra.

perhaps goa should join in.

Bet your pay was right more often than not, too
Yeah, rarely any pay checks messed up, and never did we hear, "As soon as administratively possible". Contract negotiations were finished before the current contract expired.
Once we get our guns back our new modo should be "Guns are great, guns are good, guns will help us pay for food".

The issue is you can't have a gun on postal property. So you have customer with CCP getting something at the window and gun "prints", you can go to jail if employees call the police on you. Same if you are picking up your mail from the PO Box. I know in many places if I was using the window, I would take the risk of going to jail vs the having the homeless people rob you as you are leaving.
