Good thing for them. As with paid parental leave, locality pay, etc..., postal employees will be excluded.

All I will say is that when both of my kids were born, I took two days vacation. My wife took two weeks off and back to work. And we survived just fine.

Sadly, not all mothers and newborns get to go home right away due to health issues.

My grandfather had chemo for cancer, and kept working. 12 weeks is too much. There was a case locally where two postal workers, married, had a healthy baby. Each got 6 weeks off. Ridiculous is what I say!

Don't tell me cancer is a walk in the park. I've seen the effects of chemo and radiation. Good for you with your strong work ethic. Fact is we all sacrifice for usps. At the end of the day your sacrifice means nothing, you are just a little number in the system, easily forgotten and replaceable.
