load vehicle and end of shift deems list

manglements are calling people who got long load time and eos..

what bad things can they do to the carriers? carriers even under eval w/ long eos time.

Not sure what can be done. If mgt approaches you about it, in a nice way ask mgt “how can I be more efficient”. Do not rush through load time or EOS. More packages/mail leads to longer loading & EOS times. That concept is difficult to comprehend for uneducated morons.

My first response to their question, "Load times and EOS times? I can't talk right now, wait until I start loading or when I get back off the route."
They can't DO anything, that's why they are TALKING to you. Fear does many things that management wants to get done. HAVE NO FEAR!
When asked about these types of things, say, "I'm working as fast as I can in a safe manner, do you want me to go faster?" If they say yes ask for that in writing. Unless you are taking a nap or walking to the store during these periods of time, you are working
properly.

In all honesty, let's say they mention a more efficient way.
What is our true protected performance to this task?
I am going to mention two, is there anything else?

From 603
262.1 General
Load all mail in the vehicle so that it is in sequence of delivery to ensure that
no time is lost on the route searching for the proper bundles and parcels or
containers.

Granted, safety in lifting techniques requires a slower pace so backs dont get thrown out of place during the process.

takes time to do it right.

as long as a carrier is doing everything by the book, there is absolutely nothing management can do to that carrier.

oh, they'll try. i just laugh and go about my business.

management are gnashing their teeth because most rurals are not being intimidated by that stupid incessant b(l)eeping scanner during load and EOS. and there is not a single blessed thing they can do about it.

well, if they want to extend your times by questioning you while ON those times...take the extra time.

and never answer the phone on the route. ever. they can talk to you at the office per national agreement.
I think there's a little sticker in my LLV that says not to use your cell phone......

A while back there was a thread on getting out of the office by a certain time for every carrier. I believe that under contract we are allowed office, street, load, etc. times that all are within our evaluation over the entire period of such evaluation, So, as long as a carrier is within their evaluated time and making dispatch, they can be tracked, advised, observed by management but there's no contractual violation so they can't be disciplined. (A direct order by management requires carrier to comply but results in a grievance)

Day off today so if I'm not thinking correctly please advise!!

No longer on load list here, lost Amazon. Coincident? I think not, still on EoS list. Proud of it, 100-300 parcels in multiple different pick ups daily. Takes what it takes 🤷.

I'm on the list daily for EOS time. My PM ignores that list these days; she doesnt even respond to it anymore. And guess what? Nothing has happened! It seems to be a computer generated email that goes out.

I just say out loud HARASSMENT when the scanner starts going off during EOS time. Think about it-Do the city scanners go off like that? I don't think so. Just telling it like it is---HARASSMENT

Nothing you can fo about stopping the beeping on loading time, but there is on EOS time. Just esc back to "Do you wish to log off" and let it sit there. No noise until you pick it up again.

This list and the beeper prompts on timed functions sure sound a lot like they are implicitly and explicitly trying to limit credits associated with the evaluation of routes.
Grievances sent up, care to guess the current locations?

(Spoiler to my answer: Genuinely no idea, probably lost in a pile of papers.)

few days ago stupidvisor told me to switch to pmcasing while endorsing my turnback letters. telling me that end of shift is only 10mins.. and as i asked who said its only 10mins. it replied my boss said so. i told it to put it in writing signed and date so i can grieve it.. never got one so im kinda bummed out i ddnt get to grieve it.

You most certainly can STILL file on that directive. It does not need to be in writing.

At a minimum call rep to make them aware, I would file so you have a paper trail. Never know what they may decide to try down the road. As always CYA every single day.

We are endorsing each political mail piece with the reason we didn't deliver it, our rt number, our initials & the date. All on End of Shift time. They want it done--thats when it's done. Also, how about changing your case labels. 10 mins. aren't going to cut it on that. The scanner does start going off 10 mins, after you hit J (return to office) .

I am the only rural in my office. So, I have no info source. Many times I enter Start load, End Load, and Depart at one time, and when returning, do the same thing at Clock out. PM has never complained. Does it hurt evaluation?
