RRECS: "70% of routes will lose 3-5 hours a week or more..."

How can the union in good faith let the USPS implement a system based on scanner data that is completely in accurate? This RRECCs program has some many operational errors it just can’t be trusted. Whoever built this program should have realized all the potential problems there could be but the USPS is ok with it. Also the scanner only knows what you put in it, that’s why all the dismount and trip to door distance is by the map points(proved below) you don’t have to constantly carry your scanner and where you scan doesn’t matter.

I believe with the new system home working off the clock will loose in eval but I won’t loose because I am not doing it … so at least I can control my own destiny there.
But what will cause them to lose in evaluations?

Besides loading their vehicle off the clock, clocking out but continuing to work or running mail in the morning all the scans/times will be the same.

They will have the same drive time, the same coverage factor, the same mail volume, the same number of parcels, the same number of raw flats/letters, the same number of certifieds.

I don’t come in early because I enjoy my sleep.

If raw mail isn't counted every day of the year we are still getting screwed. I have a few boxes that get mail a few days a month, and I figure those balance out the boxes that get 20-30 pieces every day! They got us to deliver amazon for free for 5 years so they think they might as well try to get us to deliver low volume boxes for free too.
Yes.. when one receives anywhere from 2” to an entire tray of raw mail on a consistent basis and voila… survey will have nada. Sooooo….. not in my RRECS eval so back to the plant it goes

BINGO!!!! What happens to people whose water bills show up in the middle of the month like 15th? Too bad. Those will add up during the count

I would say most here would agree that rrecs is a disaster. Our union also has kept us in the dark. What are they going to do? My question to everybody here is are you going to file a grievance once they implement the new payscale? If so what kind of language are you going to use? We need to band together here and file similar grievances. I wish our union would go straight to a step 4 to stop rrecs from happening. We have a lot on our side most importantly with management withholding the data from us. I mean it couldn't be more obvious.

What the union is going to do lol? They've done their part, above and beyond by training us they said expecally when it's not their place to do so, it's the postal service. So I see them done now nothing to do.

Instead of trying to convince the sub to do multiple things, i.e. proper rrecs scans, maybe it would be easier to convince them to do one simple thing...? Tell them any time they do your route to log into the route zip code r999, which is what at least our office uses for any random auxiliary or express scans. That way theres not a 0 data value for the missed rrecs scans, just no data which therefore cant go into the average.
