Ready, Set, RRECS....

Yeah, the cash customers can be just as bad. After they finish their 10 second transaction, they gotta stand there putting everything in order, gathering themselves, getting their keys off of the counter, etc. for 5 minutes. Get out of the way and get organized OVER THERE and NOT in line.
Muggers get mean if you don't have any cash. Also you want to have cash when the customer on your route is selling the EX's $1000 guitar or set of golf clubs for 50 bucks at her yard sale.

The person in front of you, waiting in line just like you, doesn’t start getting their card or cash ready until after the cashier tells them the total, doesn't even get their wallet out of their pocket or purse whatever, before hand.

Let the games begin…. More prebundled flats today than I have seen all year. Am I surprised 🤬
We got a lot, too. BUT, that's been happening every Friday. So, Monday is of course, heavy. Tuesday a few more flats. Wednesday and Thursday is hardly anything-- like typically 4-6 trays down to 2, NO presorts, 1/4 tub of raw flats. And, then Friday is medium/heavy. I'm wondering if this is to influence our route coverage factor. Certainly doesn't feel like an even flow of mail.

We did luck out in one aspect, though. The clerk that typically sends CFS/RTS out had been off all week, but returns tomorrow. So, the other clerks were like 'not my job' and it piled up all week. Saw it being sorted this afternoon. Meaning, we should get a little extra back as raw from CFS kickouts. It won't amount to much, but I'm old school and use to fighting for every single second I can.

Pre bundled flats are counted all year so it doesn't matter how many you had today or we get in the next two weeks... Only random letters and flats are counted... Relax.. this is the easiest count you'll ever see..
Ok just so you know… I’m well aware of all things RRECS related… and I have asked for verification of prebundled flats going on two years now. NADA!!!! it was all just saying manipulation has begun as usual for any main count survey. I am relaxed because I don’t give a 💩. I’m walking out the door like DB

I compared two weeks of pre-bundled flats with the totals from the radar report I went from midweek through midweek because we get most of ours either Saturday or Monday.. and the totals were very close.. also went in and checked a specific date that I annotated a box holder on my timesheet back in November.. and that was also in the system.. RRECS is not perfect.. I don't think any system is but I'm fairly confident I'm at least going to get paid for what I do and the effort I put into it.. 23yrs down.. 7 to go... 👍

Glad you have info to compare. One of many reasons I won’t sigh off. Agree nothing perfect but this is just downright asinine. Threw in the towel, threw up the white flag. Finita!!!

I love it when I’m told by management the Mini Mail Survey is only 6% of my paycheck. Gee, THEIR paycheck isn’t on the chopping block. I bust my posterior in every aspect of Rural Carrier and now have to penny, nickel, dime, SCAN etc. myself to death to exhibit my worth. Just imagine if a nationwide walkout ever occurred, and yes I know we can’t. Ohhh but imagine! By the way, Y’ALL ARE ROCKIN’ RURALS!!!🥇📬

The moment of truth (or lies) has arrived.... the long-awaited moment is here, as of tomorrow morning..... so now is the time to proclaim....

Unleash the beast.... 👹 let the fustercluck begin.... 👺 start the goatrope.... 🐐 turn on the $#!+ show.... :poop: It's gonna be uncontrolled chaos.... 🤪 YeeHaw, let's ride..... 🤷‍♂️🤠🤣

3 runs of dps today, absolutely 0 prebundled flats, just tubs and tubs of machine sorted. Trucks never made it Thursday or wednesday from plant. Amazon made it everyday tho…. Joke was on the plant we had wss Wednesday and Thursday from local printer dropped off.

Wednesday we had 5 full coverages in DPS. 3 wss and two were other. I had over 5000 DPS on a Wednesday. It was insane. And there is no doubt some areas are doing their best to avoid the little random mail that dps generates by running everything prior to survey. Let's hope stewards walk the plants, across the country, to verify nothing is held back on the other end of survey.
It was amusing to hear all the last minute questions from carriers today. Questions about things no longer pertinent. They didn't seem very happy with the answers 🤣

Same here I announced to the office funny how these didn’t show up tomorrow!!!!

I got a kicked out of this Q and A from the union website.

91. What system of checks and balances have been put in place to verify the Postal Service is crediting my individual route accurately for all mail received during the preceding 52-week period? Are there any quality controls set in place?

A. Yes, along with making the volume data available to the carrier by management posting it on the rural carrier bulletin board, the Union will be monitoring and auditing volume data and other data collection, using Postal Service data and our own physical data collected by carriers and union officials in the field.
