RRECS micromanagement

It was said on a recent telecon.... just look at how much these rurals were being OVERPAID before RRECS.... the assumption being, that now with this RRECS nonsense, things are NOW correct.... I beg to differ with that opinion.... js.... RRECS is obviously flawed in so many ways.... 🤔 🤷‍♂️(n):poop::oops:
There's no hint of irony that it was management that refused to do Counts all through Covid when routes were getting slammed with Parcels. Then when the mail volume drops we get our first Evaluation in 5 years. It's bittersweet that every Amazon route in my area is overburdened now because it's been like that for 6 years...

Yeah, I don't see the other two giving up their massive piggy banks. We are small potatoes compared to them.
If the NRLCA were smart, it is not, it would use itself as a bargaining tool to merge with one of the other unions. If either the NALC or APWU absorbs the Rural side, it makes their union stronger.

If the NRLCA presents it that way, then it would make both unions want to fight over the rural side. Giving rurals a better deal and bargaining chip. As missing out on the potential 100k+ members would hurt you and make your adversary stronger.

Sure. 😂

They could make all kinds of noise. Then Toto would pull back the curtain and the USPS would pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

I’d say the only merge we’ll see is Amazon officially taking control of the post office. They basically own us now. We do whatever they want. Charge them a few bucks for the same package we charge our customers twenty. I guess it makes sense in our idiocracy

So let’s see, in the past you got in trouble for stuffing packages into mailboxes or the cubby under them. You were told to take them to the door now flash forward to RRECS and you get in trouble for taking those same packages to the door. What could PO$$IBLY be different now? The definition of hypocrisy in the dictionary should definitely include a reference to P.O. management.

The pro hourly stance everyone is taking is giving me flashbacks to when the majority on here were excited for RRECs. You don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone.
No I recognize the stench. I never was anti hourly but was hired under the evaluation system so l knew I had to live with it. Hoped that based on the hype that RRECS was superior its predecessor, it is NOT. It doesn’t correct the old system’s flaws it muddies them even further. I wish we could select between evaluated and hourly individually. I know which I would pick.

Hourly smells like a dead pole cat to me. I know it’s what management wants so it’s a definite no for me.
Works pretty well for the city your pay is based on one standard TIME. You work over 8 hours a day time and a half you go over 12 penalty OT. Management ask you to do an additional or altered task they pay you by the amount of time it takes. You will not only be micromanaged by actual people the scanner will join in the micromanagement harassment.

I was just told my load time has went up and I'm no longer able to do load truck. I have tried to call my union district rep but of course they want answer. Does anyone know if they can do this.

Between 5% to almost 10% increase in carriers not making evaluation. I think that tells the whole story about the accuracy the RRECS. I know that I'll be going from working over evaluation for three months a year to six months a year easy. With the old standard my yearly total hours were slightly under evaluation I now predict with RRECS total hours for the year to be over significantly.

No they can't do this!

Call this number if they are not taking a nap or practicing their Boot Scootin Boogie for the upcoming Convention somebody should answer. They should be happy to call your District Rep for you to alert them of their responsibilities they are employed to handle.

Yes and this is one of the lighter times of year. Less volume and fairer weather. We have always had evaluations based on yearly not just weekly and certainly not just daily.

Actually, 10 hours is penalty time( 2X pay). And you don't have to exceed 40 hours total for OT.
