Big Package

pretty sure I don't know what the weirdest things I have delivered are. Plain brown wrappers and all.

some of the biggest - room size rugs in rolls. set of 4 ATV tires wrapped as one package. set of 4 truck tires, separate but still. had to make a second trip just for those.

had a couple hockey sticks to different customers this month - hope they were not supposed to be surprise gifts. not the way they were wrapped.

I have a customer who regularly gets hockey sticks. They are always obvious and as soon as the driver pulls the pallet in I know it’s for my route.

Just curious, am I the only one who has items weighted and measured to make sure they dont exceed our max? Can’t count how many times customer gets 100$ surcharge or can come to PO to pick up said items. Or they just get returned to Amazon 🤷‍♂️.

the worse item i Get every Friday is a pick up. Fishing poles exactly 1/4 inch under our max allowed I always use ranger on Fridays for that route. Goes from bed and thru the topper window and truck back window…. Before ranger with explorer I was forced to return to PO to drop off. Can’t deliver when an object is back to front of a vehicle.

Leaving out various live animals, it was either the 3 fifty pound bags of manure, the bunk bed or the anvil.
I think I was most surprised by the anvil.

I've had some dandy packages in the past, but yesterday was a first. I actually had a balance beam!! What the heck? Anyone else have anything bizarre.
I had one of them (balance beam) about 2 weeks ago, wouldn't fit in LLV (Amazon) left notice for customer to pick up. It would have fit up the middle all the way from the dash to the back door but it was on the end of my route so it would have screwed up my whole day, working around it.

I’ve had a few rolls of rugs (always leave notice if it’s longer than I am tall). One day had a weight bench with many pounds of weights in a different box for same customer. We had no idea what was in it, home owner was there, so I made him unload it. He opened the box and goes “I’m gonna kick that boys azz. He don’t need anymore of these. And I can’t believe they require YOU to bring them”. Plus a few times now, fairly light boxes, but box is so ginormous, it’d take 1/3 x 1/2 my entire cargo space. I swear, 2 of me could fit in those boxes, but they’re not very filled up, so I can’t stack stuff on top of them……
