Why does management always have to dissagree ?

Why is it that they have to make everything so miserable ? You can say it’s a nice day and they will come out with it’s raining out . I’m so tired of the whole power trip that management thrives on . We are all adults is it to much expect everyone to act like it . Just want to come to work and do my job , not have to deal with the childish games ! Why is that to much to ask for ? Want to tell the stupid visors to get over it all ready !! Wtf!!! Just ranting I guess , way past the stupidity of it all

I feel your pain... as in what a PITA the mngt geekazoids are... each week we have to listen to some telecon where they talk about accidents... they always point out rurals are leading in accidents... like that should be some big surprise, since there are WAY more rural routes around here, than city routes, and we drive WAY WAY more miles than anybody else, on WAY $#@++ier roads than anybody else... if they'd calculate accidents per mile driven, then we'd likely have the least... but why point out the obvious to the idiots... pretty sure they wouldn't be able to comprehend it.... ?

My local management is not the problem. It is the next two levels up. Whiny, always complaining, coworkers do not exactly help the overall atmosphere in the office either.

There was an issue about annual in the office . I clearly new management was mistaken , so I showed them in black and white that their view in the matter was incorrect . I went so far as to read it out loud to them in case they couldn’t sound out the big words . Didn’t want them to feel embarrassed if the words were to big for them to pronounce ,?. Even though it was a cut and dry issue it still some how wasn’t correct . That is what baffles me , rather a grievance be filed then just move on when they are mistaken .

I showed something to the mngt geekazoid a while back... they read it and said they thought it "talked in circles"... whatever in the hail that means... to me it said something about their reading comprehension skills.... ?

-- You should have reminded local manglement that what ever was written so it seemed to be "talking in circles" was written by someone in the USPS with a MUCH HIGHER pay grade.

-- And that local manglement should have gotten on the phone, requesting something they could understand.

-- You know, something like what happened to USPS and NRLCA HQ personnel when they had 30 days to comment on the Chairperson's recommendation for the RRECS. It was so "complex", they needed more time to figure it out - like a couple more months.

Their ego requires the FEELING OF IMPORTANCE - like everyone else of course.
The abuse stems from a system of lack of accountability.
Higher ups are quick to use the "approved" stamp - because it requires less effort than thinking through things objectively.

One who cannot put their thoughts on ice should not enter into the heat of dispute.

You may be correct in your claim but they have the rite to make you do what they say. Just put the issue of the diffusion of responsibility behind you and go enjoy the rest of the day out of office. The issue will be discussed at a later grievance hearing.

If this is where this thread is going.... Do you actually have more than 1? I made sure I had another as a POV RCA and as a REG before LLV assignment because this was a job I needed to live somewhat comfortably in my area.
