Are we going back in time or what? I had a China Post, little parcel, that called for a signature. I thought we were done with that nonsense, I know for a time there was a rash of COD's and signatures called for on those little dollar parcels from China and now it starts again. What to do?? The RED LABEL ones from India and Thailand still come; if you look them up they come up as NO RECORD in the system; but they say REGISTER so I get a signature on them.

And while on the subject I had a domestic parcel that wouldn't scan any other way but to hit international, what is going on and why are we not trained for these kind of scenarios, no one should be left to guess and wonder what to do on their job.

Why are the scanners so slow? I have never had so many double entries for a single parcel, It takes so long for the scanner to read the number by the time it reads it I have already scanned it again and then there is two of the same number.

We have had 2 in our office this week, international china post starting with the letters AW that are coming up as express mail, PM agreed that we will do waiver of signature on them as they will fit in the mailbox because they are so small and no way are they really express mail. But the scanner is sure telling us they are. And since they don't say signature required we can do waiver on them

our clerks don't even scan them, and super says we don't have to either

In the past few weeks I noticed the ones now seeking a signature start with the letter "A". The scanner will also ask if waiver is present after delivered is entered in the scanner. Of course it is not mentioned on packet.

I scan all and get signature or 49 until I get an official stand up with paperwork overriding the previous directive from Mothership.

Clerks still scan all at my work hovel.

If i see one, aint noway do i go to the door for a signature for that kind of "junk mail".
It cost them a quarter to ship it, noway am i treating it as if it were a $30 express.......unless its during my mail count lmao

Your PM is cheating you of potential time gains with this decree of clerks not scanning those or by telling you to ignore them while delivering.

Just saying there is a written rule. Do what you want with your pay. The scanner tracks all your actions now before RRECS.

I have no idea what the clerk is doing, can barely get her to scan damaged, let alone notice postage due items.

But.

I'm scanning, collecting and delivering. My nanner scanner is what RRECS will be going by, right?

The other items are starting to cause resentment, but I told her she works hourly and I don't, I'm piece work, so...do yer job so I can get credit (for PD and the like). I could care less if an AAU scan is missed.

@Oi veh. ….I now scan all visible damage again before I depart since the scanner now allows us to do this again in office before my departure. A possible clerk and my scan before delivery point. Got to CYA.

It just amazes me of how so many are unware of what the nanny scanny tells Mothership after telling them and their "Beat goes on"

Me too, have Clerk scan all visable damage, it makes the Clerks mad when I ask them to scan visable damage before I leave for the Route; but oh well then you should have paid me during Mail Count, I would have been glad to scan the visable damaged parcels.

Two weeks ago, the Clerk lost it because I ask him to please put a 3811 (Green Card) on the Certified letter that had been ripped off in shipping. The Customer had paid for the service, the other Clerk stopped what she was doing, like I can't read Postage and looked at the Certified letter and said, yes they paid for a 3811. So the Male Clerk brought the Certified letter back over to the case with a Green Card sitting on top; but not filled out. I politely took it back to him and said " This is a Clerk function could you Please fill the 3811 out and attach to the Certified", he got so mad but he did it. But, he made me wait 20 minutes for parcels that day, that is alright to, if it isn't on this paycheck as wait time going to file. Not playing those games, just do your job and I'll do mine.

Same here. Got a small 3X3 incher starting with AX last week, and scanner inquired about waiver. I was going to delete entry and take to the door, but noticed that the declared product price was 50 cents. Took a close pic and waived it. Management, like eveything else, is looking in to it.

@Windindaface- I'll have to check mine. I used to scan damaged, but then that option was removed. I check different items weekly, it wasn't back last week.

It’s listed under option 4 where you say “delivered” or “attempted”

I do believe the damaged scan is back but just in a different location!

How about asking for a new operations manual for the scanner......No can use which we ain't taught on and have in writing what to do...

Give me a sec charlie, Its here somewhere with all the other BS OPS info...
