RCA entitled to full week, over 40 hrs?

Scenario: me and another RCA both scheduled 4 days this week. This Friday will put one of us at 5 days, I'm scheduled on HER primary route (shes off), which I was ok with until I was sent the day after a holiday to go help someone else which will put me over 40, thus making me work some free hours.

Boss said she don't care about me working for free, that's the rural system and what about all those days I went home early. The primary sub DOES want to work, isn't she supposed to work?

So what's the reason the primary sub on that route isn't working??? They're supposed to follow the matrix, or have a good reason for not following it.... otherwise smile and file, or file then smile.... see if that changes their attitude about caring...

Shes pregnant, that might have something to do with it I'm not sure, but she does want to work for sure now tho. What exactly do i file? Will I have to work?

4) Did management show contempt and full disregard by choosing to knowingly not follow the matrix and thus knowingly breach the contract between the NRLCA and USPS?

Or Did mngt violate the NA by not following the matrix? Lame

And yes, my grievances sometimes were this flamboyant lol
Awesome, thanks. so I'll have to work and the other RCA will get paid a full day sitting at home? Or do I have to convince her to file to get paid? Sorry so many questions

I suppose she stays home and gets paid to not work...

Better yet, draw out your days since you know in advance. Walk that 1/2 mile to deliver packages, don't finger mail, ect.

Drag @$$ now thru Friday... everything over 40 is time and a half, so that should help... 44 hours pays 46.... do the math....

Yeah my start time is 9 while everyone elses is 745-8 because of my last go around with grievances so its not even possible to go too slow. Ive tried disparate treatment, steward is useless. Guess I'm still confused what to do, what the outcome is but at least I know what to file

Just remember this formula, Dispatch time,- minus route evaluation,- minus breaks, = equals start time.

example;

So 17:30 - 8 - :30 = 9am

Say what? Routes should have set schedules, not each individual carrier.... you need to be filing a stack of greivances...
Been there done that, no way to win. Steward never even emailed me the results of the previous grievances. Was all buddy buddy with her in the meeting, y'all told me to take it a level higher but PM and Supe were writing me up for every minor mistake they could find. Left 1 letter in the case, wrote up. Didnt take arrow keys (not needed or used)... Written up. I was on my way to getting fired so I chilled out, can not beat them

One of my previous grievances was "does management allow for enough time to complete route"... The answer was a resounding no but never saw the results.

In your instance I would recommend other RCA file first. If they don't it's on you.

If this PREGO carrier does not want to work they should provide a reason why without approved leave.

If they do not want to work because they are PREGO they should see their doctor and get a note explaining why and how long they will be out. If it's for more than the day until baby squirt I think FLMA covers this and time after so they do not suffer post partum depression form the PO.

As DB mentioned. Why is your start time offset from other carriers? If you are an AUX runner I could see that. If not there is something seriously wrong with your start time being different than others.

Nope, like I said there was an all out war happening, no matter how careful I try to be there was always a new write up, investigative review, "can I talk to you in the office" scare tactic, they can make your life a living hell. No one else files against her. They know not to. So I just tried to lay low after that

This was his response. "Have things cooled down at all".... 3 additional write ups the DAY AFTER he met with supervisor and calmed things over lol. I filed 3 on them originally so they filed 3 on me in return. I asked 2 more times to email me the results but I dont even want to know the outcome of my grievance "does management allow enough time to complete route".... My start time is still 9 so obviously there was no outcome. I just gave up. But now another war is surfacing.
