4 workers dead at Palmetto: The safety crisis, the privatization drive, and how postal workers can fight back

Under the pretext of a manufactured financial crisis, Postmaster General David Steiner, Congress and the Trump administration are preparing to slash jobs, cut services and end USPS’s existence as a public service—putting it instead at the beck and call of corporate America.

Palmetto seems to have an annual target for minnowing the workforce one way or another. Embarrassing for this to be a premium flagship style facility.

At least for Rural Letter Carriers, I have doubts that a Socialist organisation will be followed to change the Postal Service.

On the plus side Socialists likely have more than their fair share of organisers. On the negative side, I feel as if every group that wants to help us wants us on our knees to them as the price of help. No group appears to be interested in training us to fight for ourselves. The price of freedom appears to be surrendering that freedom.
