Aux question

I have a question about being on an aux route. If your a 5/1 aux, and both the aux and ur primary route is less than 12 hours together, do you have to give up the aux route to do the primary? The two are under 12 together.

I cannot find this answer anywhere in the contract.

--  The primary will be worth more, money wise, but you won't earn any annual or sick leave.

That's my question- I WANT to do both.

Its a 5/1. I run the aux all six days including the (1) relief day. If throughout the other 5 days I'm scheduled for the large route? I'm automatically taken off the aux and another sub runs it. My question is if I have the right to run them both during those 5 days

If you are on the larger route and stay far enough under EVAL for this route and have enough hours to remain under 40 for the week while covering the AUX for the 6th day. There is no reason to remove you from the AUX for the last day.

IE larger route 43k. You work it in 35hrs in 5 days.  Aux Eval 4hrs. You should work. If Aux Eval is 5+ in this scenario you will not work.

Can't cite but as a former AUX with a 5/1 this is how management decided if I worked the 6th day.

If assigned to the larger run for the week your RCA for the AUX has the rite to work those days you are on the larger route. The 12hr rule has no bearing on this. The 12 hr rule applies only when forced to spilt or cover how ever many routes needing assistance for the day.
