back pay for new contract

Back pay is to be paid on the 27th of February. Any idea if we will finally see that check or will it be pushed back again.

What do you mean pushed back? It has not been pushed back yet & I don’t see it happening or it would have been announced by now.

Just like the dates for the MMS... Couldn't announce those dates months (or in the contract) until a month or so before?? Also, the next COLA (which has been announced by the NALC & APWU on their websites) of about $250 per year based on a 40 hour week??

Why can't we be more timely in informing our dues paying members?

There was some breaking news yesterday on the backpay if you didnt see it. They decided to cancel the monies and enroll all of us in the Jelly of the month club. So, no swimming pool for you.

If it’s similar to the last contract retro payment, it’ll be about like getting double your normal pay.

But you said again which I think created the confusion. It was announced when we got a new contract that we would get our backpay on Feb 27th and it hasn't been pushed back at all.

Off course I would love anything bigger . But I am not expecting anything bigger than 1000 dollars after tax . I am step 12 table one with 44k route at that time . If my thinking is right it is only missing raise and COLA for first 10 months only

Because they can't figure out how to change the numbers on the salary chart and have to wait for USPS to publish the new chart.

The MMS is always the last week/first week & has not fluctuated off of that. Feb/March & Aug/Sept. The Aug/Sept won’t have a Holiday this time.

So that makes it easier to tell the members when it is. They could go ahead and plot it for the next decade! But the days are only revealed maybe a month beforehand. it makes it even worse offense when they schedule conventions during the MMS!

Most certainly wouldn't find a calendar and plot it in your schedule yourself.
