Best Path to Career

There's always an exception.
What do you think the percentages are for rural and city?
My office has 10 routes city side all driving. the Other 14 are a mix of some driving some walking. only One city route has a lot of walking 16 miles of it. Forget the terminology they use but it’s stop on each side and delivery then go back to vehicle. Rinse repeat for both sides of multiple roads/blocks.

personally I couldn’t deal with working in town like city side. Flip side most the CCAs could not be paid enough to do our rural rural routes. They hate our aux and one other route that is all within city limits. Because of the parcels those 2 routes get compared to a vast majority of city side. They love doing them if we case and mark everything for them tho 😂.

Still waiting here for the PTF positions PM said were going to get posted for our office. Been a week and beginning to think it was just a carrot to keep us on the leash for a bit longer. will wait another week then ask PM if they’ve a minute to talk.
Make sure you check lite blue daily.

Try it for a few weeks and find out. I've carried both city and rural. You can have city. It's far more physically challenging and if I really have to explain why then you wouldn't understand.

Oh, I have delivered city, but that was before Amazon, and it was easier, less mail/packages/driving. Obviously, there are many different type of city routes/rural routes.

Our city routes are all LLV, no walking, drive on sidewalk except a very small section wich isn't very much. But we are in a small town.

I do currently 12 career positions up for district bidding in my district. 7 PTF positions up for anyone off the street to apply for.
So we have 14 district wide posting for career now 😂. 2+ hr drive away from me minimum not even worth looking into.
