Let's just really hope that they find other things to keep them occupied. Federal employees have been in their sights for years so maybe there is still enough resistance to keep this at bay.
Much of it is just posturing. Same thing every new congress - copy and paste.
They're really not after the average worker. The ones in DC making double and triple six figures, and the probably million that "work from home" but don't produce much of anything. I think we are far down the list, hope we stay out of sight.
Those clowns should have the same pay and benefits as all other federal workers. Same retirement, no carve-outs, special exemptions, etc.
Remember back when it was actually considered a hardship to serve as a representative? Do you think any of these guys intended for careers and wealth on the backs of the people?
Problem is that it is all of us, these benefits are the same across the board for us federal employees. Like I said earlier, let's just hope they keep busy in other aspects and don't focus in on us.
If there are gonna be changes, hopefully they will draw a line between current peeps, and future peeps... that's how it's usually done... like when they implemented Table 2 and such... before this date you're Table 1, after Table 2... same happened with FERS retirement contribution percentages and the like... and finally, don't mess with current retirees...
