working city side is cross craft, it should not be done. Get the city carriers involved to grieve it’s one way to stop it. Also note rural was never and is never trained on how to conduct themselves on a walking route or portion. Site safety to management when you decline working city side. If they still mandate grieve the order and site safety reasons.

As far as being used in other offices or your own for Sunday/holiday. A Sunday/holiday list should be posted and yes or No option chosen. All this means is those who volunteer are to be used before any others.

skyrimbiddy -- "our management are now mandating us to go to other offices on Sundays. Rotating and seniority does not matter they say. There is an office in particular they are trying to help and it’s a horrible office in the city and they really take advantage of you, no one wants to go or feels comfortable going to this office. Our management also said they can put us on a city route and we would have to do it and can’t even grieve it because the rural union wont let us. "

-- Who said the rural union won't let us? Management, the office steward, the Assistant District Representative, or the District Representative?

-- If one or all of the above, why not call NRLCA HQ at 703-684-5545 and ask for the Director of Steward Operations for a second opinion. I think there is a new Director in place after the convention.

-- Good luck.

Are Sundays still voluntary? We have been under the impression they are mandatory and we’ve also been scheduled for every Sunday. Can I say no to going to a different office on Sunday without repercussions? Management basically stated that we have to do this.

Sundays are not Craft specific as there are no walking routes or CBU/Curb routes. All parcels go to the door if possible. Mailbox is for when there is no other option & that is still frowned upon since the Monday person has to deal with it.

Voluntary IF there are enough subs to rotate the Yes & No lists. Rotation is ALPHABETICAL by last name. There is no seniority for Sundays. PTFs 1st, yes-list by rotation, then no list if needed by rotation, then Des 74 RCAs.
I’m not sure on sending RCAs to other offices so contact your Union Rep. If y’all haven’t been rotating & now they can spare some RCAs, you might be able to grieve if you are on the NO list. If mgmt hasn’t posted the Sunday Volunteer List with the Regular Carrier RDWL Sign-up, that is a grievance. Both lists came down on Friday to implement next Saturday.

Ok.....first off, you are NOT A SLAVE....although po mgmt can and will treat you like that. 😡IMMEDIATELY😡 CONTACT YOUR UNION REP, and explain all of what you shared with us. I would recommend taking notes if possible when talking to union rep, if you feel like union rep is not being helpful, get back here, and ask more questions on how to proceed. Secondly.....remember to take a deep breath, take it one box at a time. You can only do what is humanly possible. You are a person deserving of respect, and what used to be common...basic courtesy. Most postal mgmt is HORRIBLE, AND EVIL AS WELL....I KNOW FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE. You can start looking around for a smaller country office, and make sure to ask a few of the carriers there about the po mgmt there, also might not hurt to swing by, and meet other po mgmt, just to see what the options might be for transferring into their office, as you are not being treated well where you are at....there is hope, and I/ WE have been there my friend. You are not alone, and yes, there are other options, and po offices that will be grateful for the GREAT CARRIER that you are. You are, just like the rest of us, doing this to support the ones you LOVE....so focus on that, and take joy, and pride in knowing that those you LOVE appreciate what you do every single day to take care of, and provide for them. Lastly, I love Jesus, He changed my life, and He can change yours as well, and He can give you the Strength to get through this. Two websites that I go to often that are based on Gods Word, are str.org, and also probe.org these sites have provided so many Bible based answers to so many of my life questions, and helped me to find Peace in a toxic, and hostile work environment. I will be PRAYING for you, and remember....others have survived, and are STRONGER for it, YOU CAN TOO...
and....dont forget to just take a deep breath, and remember WHY you are doing this...❤❤❤❤
