Hey sweetie, thank you so much. It has been a rough couple of months.. Found out today that my part of the fee for each radiation treatment is $250 with my insurance. I have to go through 35 sessions.. It's sad that even with insurance a serious illness can bankrupt you.. It's ridiculous..

In many cases the free ACA insurance is actually better than USPS insurance working or retired.
My brother went on it for a major health issue. He stopped working, declared unemployement and got a 200k surgery and rehab for free. His old insurance ( Blue Cross) would have cost him almost $90k out of pocket.

At one time the rural carrier plan covered 100%. of cancer treatment. Some plans have a catastrophic cap on maximum annual out of pocket expenses. But we all know they make things sound good up front, and then they never seem quite so good when you actually need them.

I had a family member go through major medical issues this past year, and the medical procedures and trying to recover are a major hurdle for any normal human being. But the medical billing and insurance maze is almost incomprehensible, and adds stress to those who really don't need any extra stress.

Any one who can support and help others facing these challenges should certainly do so, it will make a difference... 🤔 🤷‍♂️👉(y)🙏
 
Just in case you all missed it on the Gofundme page..

I can't even begin to tell you all how thankful I am and that I have been added to this fundraiser and I can give everyone a proper thank you.

I recently found out that my part of the treatments are going to be $1250 a week. You guys have already paid for two weeks of that and I am over here so thankful and blessed. I have no idea how I would have done it without you.

Please know that you have truly helped. I am humbled and thankful and I know words aren't really enough but it's what I can do.
