"fast track session"

Dishonest management is a given. But I wouldn't want us to sugarcoat just how damn hard it is right now for new subs either. My office has been able to hire 2 subs in the last 6 months. 1 quit and the other is not at the point where they can even come close to finishing a full route, because they're so overwhelmed.

I know it depends on your superiors but are most understanding that the new RCA's are being overwhelmed and therefore they are slow/make mistakes? I know it rolls down hill and I'm at the bottom to catch it... I am expecting it to be very overwhelming and intense when I start, virus aside holiday shopping is also just around the corner.

“Not letting you straddle”, is made up BS. Considering they are already lying right out of the gate, to all of you before you even start this job should be a red flag. Basically if mgt’s lips are moving, they are lying. This is not the great job that it was years ago. The usps is a sinking ship at the moment, and the employees are being treated horribly because of it. I would consider another career, if Inhad to do it all over again. Best of luck.

People/management lying is a red flag? Say it ain't so...

I know it's not "great", but then again I've never had a job that was "great". For where I am geographically it still is a "good" job, being in a "rural" "country" area. My main profession that I had to leave due to the virus isn't really here in these parts and when they are they're worse than the USPS by far. I'd have to go back to living in or near a city to go back to my old line of work and I'd much rather not.

As far as employees being treated horribly, this is true mostly everywhere. At least we still have labor laws and such and this isn't a third world country and we're not literal slaves. It can be and is much worse elsewhere in the world.
