frozen routes almost unbelievable new evaluations

One route was cut and froze from a 48k+ came back as a 44H! they formed an aux. route in that rmpo

Another route in the next office over that was cut and froze came back as overburdened again and is going to be cut again! So that carrier will be a 48K for almost 3 years (froze twice) and only paid as a 43K! Can't believe that is allowed.

Welcome to the screw job known as RRECS. Our union sold us out over this beauty.

Rural America routes got destroyed by RRECS. Now where people with growth and can grow to 48k and get cut back to 43K will either drop majorly or become overburdened again and have to 1 and half for the route to be counted again and get paid as 43k.

I mean think about !!@$$ING GENIUS!!!

That is what the union people being paid six figures agreed to.

Yep. Better watch what you say someone is going to come in and say arbitration is why we have this not our union. Sure it was arbitration that got it but our union was perfectly fine with putting a new pay system in place where 2/3 of carriers lost 2k of pay and where another 44% lost 8k of pay.

I thought unions were for fighting for better pay and conditions for its employees. Definitely not this union because they sold us bunch of lies with it. Where's this so called database I can view things every day???? LIES! Carriers aren't doing their stuff. LIES! I know plenty going their stuff and still dropping like flies. Where's the transparency we were promised? LIES!

RRECS could be a great pay system if done right, but the way it is now, I don't trust anything at all anymore.

Did the route which came back as 44H had large pickups before the adjustment but no pickups with his/her 43k ?

I can't believe freezing routes for a year was the only solution they could come up with for route adjustments under RRECS.

My route was a 47k and no one wanted it to be cut outside of some higher up at district. I literally drive right by most of the boxes that were taken off my route daily.

But now we have a 2 hour POV aux route that no one wants to run since none of the RCAs even have a vehicle.

September 2026 will sure be fun in our office when the freeze is over for us.

Remember when people cried about how we were delivering UPS, FedEx, and Amazon too cheaply so USPS upped their rates? Now those same companies have either drastically reduced or totally eliminated USPS as a delivery system. So if you've take a hit to your paycheck you might want to reflect on what you were wishing for.

FedEx pulled out on their own.
UPS was fell to the Aggregate Shippers can no longer drop at the DU & must drop at the plants for the USPS to distribute to the offices.
Amazon is still here since they are not just a shipper. Some offices have lost it (I hear) while others have recently started delivery of Amazon. We’ve had it in my office since 2013 regardless of building their own “plant” within 20 miles.
My parcel volume barely dropped when UPS ceased. I hate to see what will happen if we get it back as is rumored.

Was frozen at the illustrious 43K for a year and now a 46K. Working out ok, just keep pounding those rural activity scans.

Tell that to some people who don't have any activity scans to hit (besides the 6 before someone yells at me for saying no scans to hit).

Lot of us rural America carriers have no activity scans on our route. It is impossible to do much. I'm lucky that at least I got dismounts. Other routes i have worked before becoming regular literally would have no extra scans to do.

no little old ladies buying stamps??

i don't get a lot either. boxholder once a month, maybe a wss if we're lucky. have a customer who went back to selling on ebay, so have that pickup and trips now.

i sell stamps and have some 2nd trips to the door if someone has 2 big boxes.

that's about it.

carrier here fought being cut. delayed it until may. so is it true that route will be frozen until the count after may..ie a year from now? so route will be frozen for 16 months? the aux route that took the territory is also frozen. and would be a full time route if not frozen..that just sucks for him.

Yeah . That’s a problem. The adhoc old fashioned adjustment process they imposed on RRECS cannot be and should not be a permanent solution. While they are okay for short time to mitigate the data migration problem. But union should not let this process be a permanent or long term deal . They should force PO to store data by address as promised originally. This constant adjusting and freezing cannot be a norm . I do not know whether anybody noticed or not they could not incorporate and did not incorporate pick up things in adjustment at all . And this is causing lot of distortion and will keep on creating havoc on evaluation for routes involved with large pick ups

My route is basically except I do have few dismounts every day with CBUs. But definitely a few routes I did as RCA that would have days with no extra scans at all (besides holy 6).

Which Activity Scans do you hit the most?

Also, how much credit are you getting from the Activity Scan category?

I know that you are talking about getting credit for the tasks attached to those Activity Scans but I am curious about your credit in the Activity Scan section.

I am 99% sure people aren't getting nearly what they should in that category considering that SPM are also tied to that category and fairly generous.

There is no way NOT to have some scans. The basic 6 are “scans” & they count. Even taking a few-minutes break twice daily can add almost 2 minutes a week. Do all of the 3M & Forwarding stuff during EOS & stop rushing through the Timed functions (Load & EOS). There are ways if you memorize the scan selections & look for the qualifying events for such.

Again we've had this discussion. I'm talking the other scans besides the 6 holy scans.

Some of these routes are so rural there are literally no other scans done in a day besides the holy and sacred 6 (I don't count those since everyone does them and have to so them) some days. I'm focusing on the other scans. There are routes where you literally have days with no scans. Trust me I am fairly up to date with RRECS and if there was stuff to do I would do it, but there wasn't any (besides the 6).

Also certain things to depending on route you can only stretch out load time and EoS so much some days. Route that I did a hold down on for couple months would only get some days 10 to 15 packages total including everything. Think you can stretch that out to 20 to 30 mins or would the district be screaming and yelling? You can't walk so slow you're tripping on your feet.

How much credit are you getting in the Activity Scans segment of the 4241a?

Do you know your current credit for Activity Scans on your 4241a?

So I have always been around 5.5 to 5.6 mins.

2nd and 3rd count I was getting 2 boxholders the 2nd one and 1 in the 3rd one.
