If so may we report abuses in the system to them and be protected for whistleblowing?
To have what is going on reported is more than the nothing we now have.

Seeing daca 5 be thrown around like its nothing while they threaten and fire new hires immediately needs to stop.

Subs from a neighboring office that now has amazon delivering in their area, wanting more hours. We don't have amazon delivering in our area. We are being mandated on our days off....no assistance...these people are throwing postal funds into the gutter.

Subs in our office that want hours are sent home while overburdened routes are going back out with misthrows and expresses.

Is it possible the Postal Service has so much fantacy information going out they have no idea what is going on?

I'd say it entirely possible, nay, most likely probable the po mgmt has no idea what they are doing at all....

I mean just imagine if they didn't millions of rural carriers, they would out of my money by now...........


How to solve these issues?

#1 Cut management position
#2 Close smaller offices in areas where they is ton in one area.
(EXAMPLE: My office has 4 RMPO, you easily can close 3 of them and nothing would change, those 3 RMPO are all within 3 to 4 miles of each and only about 3 miles from the main office).
#3 Follow the contracts. I wonder how many MILLIONS are paid out in grievances in a year.

Doing those alone should fix things.

Just imagine if rural carriers didn't take millions of dollars of pay cut and it would be closed by now.

If Amazon and Postal Service delivery infrastructure were exactly equal Amazon should be a more profitable business than the Postal Service because delivery is not their true business. They move product, theirs and other peoples.

The product being moved is becoming more important, medical, food to the point life and health is beginning to depend upon it.

Does this mean delivery is becoming a National Security Issue?

IIRC, Mike Cariff, a city carrier union executive council member/nba, said that in one year, in one installation(Chicago I think) They paid out $10M in grievance settlements.

That isn't just some rando on reddit saying it. I would assume he gets pretty good info.

What expenses may be cut to keep the Postal Service functioning?

It noted that while the USPS no longer must pre-fund retiree health care costs, it still must pay the employer share of ongoing costs—from a fund projected to be depleted in six years, requiring payment afterward from revenue. GAO also cited the need to pay ongoing annuity benefits for retirees, from an account that it said also is underfunded.

“More favorable terms in collective bargaining agreements” with its unions.

Regarding the latter, the GAO said that while it could lower compensation and benefit costs, “negotiation could take years, and meaningful reductions may not be realized."

I am under the impression that the only answers the government may come up with to save the Postal Service is to steal from craft.

I am familiar with the expression that an army marches on its stomach, I have not specifically read about it.
I have read about shoes at Gettysburg, Latrines in North Africa and immunizations in the Revolutionary War.
