GPS audits

Can someone please explain exactly what a gps audit is? Supposedly one was done last summer on my route but our PM is saying it wasnt done right because she’s on a list and my spms for an apartment complex are goofy. She also said I’m not getting credit or at least full credit when I deliver packages in this complex to the door? Is this correct? I can’t trust a word she says in regards to me and my route, so I don’t know what to think?
Second ? I’m a 40A but we lost Amazon just after survey, if she’s right would there be a grievance in this situation that would make my route whole? She said she’s known for several months that we needed to do these gps audits and is just now going to attempt it. I appreciate any clarification y’all can give me.

Another question is..... why did they use gps with a accuracy of 10 foot radius. gps accuracy is available down to less than 1 inch radius accuracy. Farmers use the less than 1 inch accuracy every day on tractors, planters, sprayers and combines.

I know the answer, they didn't give a crap if the info was correct or not. Cheaper for them to buy the crappy gps signal and cheaper for them if the info is not correct.

Yes thanks I grasped that part of it. Is what the rest of what she said accurate about not getting full credit because it wasn’t done properly? That is my main concern.
Based on what has been said here prior appartments and units that have verticallity to them do not receive the credit properly.

Talking out my butt here but i am thinking it has something to do with being unable to measure the stairs you're climbing sorta thing. Just plots everything out like it is on one floor? Maybe? I honestly don't know just trying to logic out why it could be an issue but peeps with apartments have definitely mentioned things not being right. At least they are working on it and mentioning the issue to you!

with todays technology why is it not updating continually, based on stops or scans as to where the boxes are , fedexs scanner does this, its all a big scam .
It is a huge scam and the union agreed to it. Professional computer programmers have looked into the RRECS software developed by USPS and said the only reason it doesn't work right is because the software was intentionally written that way. It doesn't follow any programming fundamentals, it's as if some school kid programmed it after not listening to what their computer science teacher was trying to train them on.

In a nutshell that is about right. They can measure distance going North-South-East-West but they cannot measure height. Simplified, lets say you went in a north facing door of an apartment building and apartment 702 is directly above that door on the 7th floor.... you may climb 7 flights of stairs and trekked down several hallways but when you scan a parcel delivered to door at 702 the scanner sees you virtually at that front door when you entered the building.

Carriers need to demand real measuring instruments be used. If the PM is admitting there is an issue at least there is a starting point to rectifying it, get Steward or District Rep involved and get measurements put in correctly or get miscellaneous time. And then see about having the changes applied retroactively to make you whole!

I'm with you on this. The scanner / system doesn't recognize two dimensionally or three dimensionally. Heck, it ain't all that accurate on the ONE dimension that it can sorta, kinda', but not really recognize.
