They should nail them for millions and as part of the settlement: every member of management at the facility needs to be terminated. Literally they have a meeting of discuss grievances with everybody. It goes to show preventable accidents start with management.

Any amount of money won't bring that young man's life back, so tragic and very sad and for why paper that just couldn't wait come on really! the lawyers for the postal service I'm sure will find away to turn ot around saying something like obviously he knew the machines were unsafe because he filed a grievance so he risked his own life, management never gave him a direct order to use a faulty machine. In my opinion prayer is heavily needed .

Sorry....WHAT WAS I THINKING....LORD KNOWS, most po mgmt cant do NOTHING!!!! Much less work.....I figure if we stack enough po mgmt around that machine, bare minimum itll keep the ESSENTIAL WORKERS safe...

Grievance? Shoot how long they take it the problem will still be there 5 years from now.

It is just flat out ridiculous what this company can get away with. I guarantee if any other company would do a similar thing, the outcome would be 500X times what it will be from USPS.

Has a grievance or safety been filed after Nicholas John Acker's corps was taken out of the machine?

I am left with the impression that only the local steward showed an interest. Nothing said by his National Union or any other union. One of the privileges a union has is the right to express an opinion about what happened. This is the type of situation a side has been taken if the people have spoken up or choose to remain silent.

We are left with doing what we have in the past to deal with these issues. Most here know how past actions have worked out.

Yea and the same thing was almost done in Maine unsafe conditions for clerk and he is in training so after the news of the clerk dying in machine in Georgia……..I heard a ton of yelling at supervisor for clerks we don’t have a lead clerk running the show…..and he was trying to get the trainee do something unsafe
