Headquarters mandated inside temp to 78 degrees

Our expanded office is hot inside, asked PM to contact headquarters who’s in charge of the thermostat and was told headquarters is mandating 78 degrees no colder. WTF

78 sounds wonderful compared to the temps in some of the offices here in NY where it is regularly over 90. I guess we should just be grateful it's cooler than the 139 degree LLVs.

PS- OSHA says that's just fine.

Unfortunately, OSHA standards are at 78 degrees and it isn’t mandatory. Just a suggestion. Can’t file safety on 78 degrees. Done that, been there

-- Do a "deep dive" on OSHA's standard to see if that applies to just the office or possibly to postal vehicles!

File on saying this is trying to force you to load faster on account of warmer temps inside. Other than that, I don't see anything you can do because 78 thing isn't against OHSA.

I've only had one good union rep in 23 years....and another mediocre one....so, I hear ya....and ALL the others were WORTHLESS....
